I’m trying to port some models I ripped from a game into a HL2 mod, Garry’s Mod. I’ve tried to figure it out on my own, or find some tutorials, but with no luck. I’ve been able to rip, import into 3Ds Max, export it to an OBJ file, and use XSI to import it. I got the XSI Valve Source Addon, and but still can’t figure out how to export it into the proper format, and be able to use it in Gmod. It’s a simple model (as in not a ragdoll, but a one piece model), and I think I have physics set up right. But I’m totally new to all this. I’m asking here in hopes some gaming guru who’s also good with modeling programs can help me out, or if someone knows of any kind of tutorial. Thanks for any possible help anyone can give me. 🙂
