ATTENTION BRITS-Need help naming a kids show from the 90s

Hey guys,

Back in the early 90s I used to watch a show on BBC1 (might have been C4) whenever I was home sick. I adored the show. It was dark, funny and I fell in love with it between bouts of "The girl from tomorrow" and "Round the twist".

Here’s what I know;

1) It was live action

2)It was about two kids who was transported to a magical world

3)In that world they met a dragon (guy in a suit) and a number of people who were different colours. For instance, one guy was completely orange and had a cricket bat. Another was blue skinned and was the nerd of the group.

4)The kids needed to travel the world and find things called veetons (sp?) which were like glowing bricks.

5)One of the baddies was dressed like a giant crow. Very scary as a kid.

6)That same baddie melted one of the coloured characters. I remember all that was left was a blue puddle with glasses laying there.

7)One of the kids was named Amanda. I know this because in one episode she goes missing and the dragons keeps calling out here name. Great voice.

I’ve been trying to find out what it was for about 7 years.

This is just great. After all these years the giant crow guy still scares me. I used to fake being sick just to watch this show. Awesome. Just awesome.

I remember feeling so upset when that guy with the glasses got melted. I mean really upset. 🙁

Even at that age I seriously held back a tear or two.
