Also, if you fight every battle (which is easy if you hold down X) and learn the dressspheres, all the bosses should be a joke. Even some of the extra ones, the only challenge will be learning all the Blue Bullet techniques, which is a fun challenge in itself.
VERY few of the extra bosses will be challenging. These being four of the five Via Infinito bosses (Aranea is easy), Trema, Angra Mainyuu, Nooj… and that’s about it. As long as you ONLY attack when you see one of those weird observer satellite things that transmits logs, that’ll make a later boss fight easy.
So… you’ll have to think of a strategy for a few bosses, but no big deal they aren’t THAT hard, like the FFXII uberbosses, you’ll probably be able to take them just any strategy you find would probably work. Like the Cat Nip/Trigger Happy trick.
A note though, just one thing I remember the walkthrough was unclear about was that in the Besaid gunner’s gauntlet in chapter 2, you MUST make it on your first try or you’ll miss %. Everything else is clear.
Good challenge is to try learning Annihilator from Experiment and Cry in the Night from Mega Tonberry.
Well, actually the first-and-a-half. I had a save file where I got to Ch 2 Thunder Plains and tried to do every tower and gave up and abandoned the game and then later said fuck it and started over this time using the 100% thing. Oh, and you don’t have to do all the towers for the 100%, thank god. Tower 7 is especially a bitch.
You say you haven’t finished the game… but if in the past you’ve had a save file where you started it and gotten far, then go for it.
then onmy 3rd try i did it by accident lol
Don’t skip any scenes. I learned that after I beat the game and got normal ending.
1. You do not have to obtain all the percentage in playthrough
2. You do not ever have to fight Trema
3. You may complete scenes that add percentage that you did complete in a previous playthrough in order to gain extra percentage, specifically scenes involving either the Youth League or New Yevon that are only available if you give the Awesome Sphere to either group

1. I assume you meant "in one playthrough" I know that, I was just trying to explain HOW he could do it in one.
2. If you mean go two playthroughs without fighting Trema and do all the counterpart scenes, for Youth/Yevon and for saving the Guado/Not saving the Guado then that makes sense. But again, I’m talking about going a single playthrough. Are you saying even in that case Trema doesn’t count towards percent? Somehow I find that hard to believe if you DID mean that. Maybe it’s one of the few missions in Chapter 5 that’s not an "Episode Complete" all right, but it’s a cutscene with dialogue and I believe those indicate percent. Some missions don’t have cutscenes like that anywhere and don’t count towards percent, such as calibrating the towers. Or playing Blitzball. Or even the Mi’hen cave. Or finding customers for the "Data" in Guadosalam (though that does help in the O’aka sidequest). Maybe you can go multiple playthroughs and get 100% without fighting Trema, but as far as I know Trema does give percent.
3. See above.
And I was told the highest you could get in a single playthrough is 99% not 100% but I don’t know if this is a fact or not.
thanks for the information everyone.
also tremas really easy just requires patients

Yes. I looked it up on Gamefaq.com to confirm it. Two guides say that you need Trema. D:
From Kouli:
Bevelle – +1.8% {Total So Far: 92.0%}
* Episode Complete!
* St. Bevelle Hidden Dungeon Top Floor, Obtain Akagi Sphere 6 And 8 At Floor 20. Head
Back To AirShip And Watch ‘Akagi Report 6’ And ‘Akagi Report 8’
* Beat Trema At The Lowest Floor {=Trema Episode Complete!}
From KG21:
BEVELLE – Total Percentage Gain: 1.8%
**Episode Complete!
**Inside Via Infinito (found by going in to the right corridor of the
Bevelle Temple) obtain CRIMSON REPORT SIX at Cloister 0 (the
beginning). Afterwards, battle your way to Cloister 20 (it’s easy for
now) and obtain CRIMSON REPORT EIGHT.
**Board the Celsius and view both CRIMSON REPORT SIX and CRIMSON REPORT
EIGHT.
**Defeat Trema in the last Cloister. This is INCREDIBLY difficult.

Kouli is wrong about it being an "episode complete". But it is percentage.
I see that it says that, but did you see the part where it said "* Beat Trema At The Lowest Floor {=Trema Episode Complete!}"
