The soundtrack? They’re probably too busy playing the game to think about ripping the soundtrack, though that’s assuming it is possible to make a decent rip from a Wii game. For your sake, I hope they come out with an official release this time around.

Melee had a sound test mode. I’d expect the same for Brawl so rips should be fine.

What’s obvious to you may not be for another person. Personally, I pretty much live in the Downloads and Requests forums. Providing a link when you forward somebody to another thread will clear up any confusion and prevent people from getting mad, including you.
Although, you don’t have to look toohard to find all the Super Smash Bros. Brawl threads…then again, finding the right one is a little tricky.
