Question about certain Beasts and Marks

On several of my visits to the Dalmasca Estersands, I have stumbled upon an enemy who looks like a cockatrice, but has a name other than that and has beneficial statuses such Bravery and Faith. Is he a mark because I haven’t seen a bill posted for it and I want to know before I kill it.

I have also had similar run-ins at the Mosphorian Highwaste where I encounter an extremly large Python with a wierd name and a large Worgen with a wierd name. Are these also marks?

Unless you’ve accepted a Mark, they won’t show up. Those are rare game. One is Nikhbet, iirc. The other one’s name escapes me.

Just go ahead and kill them.

On the sidequest in the Dalmasca Estersand to go get the items for Dantro’s Wife, I accidentally sold the Valeblossom Dew which basically means I am totally fucked in getting the Barheim Passage Key and killing the Bloodwing. Is there any way aside from starting a new game in which I can get it?

Second Question:

How the fuck do you get that damn cockatrice over to the other side. I spent two hours trying to figure it out but failed horribly and almost threw my controller through the television. I ask this because I can not find any FAQs or walkthroughs or specific guides that mention this sidequest/minigame.

OK, I can answer Question 1, but the solution for 2 evades me. I know I did it, but…

Anyway, if you got all three drops of Valeblossom Dew, you are pretty much fucked, as I’m not sure if they respawn or not (I gave her the stuff straight away). However, if you only got one or two, you should be able to get more. Remember, they are on those pink trees in the area just before the Mosphoran (Broken Sands, I think…)

They are in the Broken Sands…but I have only found one place where you can get the Valeblossom Dew…

I think you have to bring everyone over to the other side of the river but just make sure sassan comes over last.

I’ve done that…and the damn cockatrice is scared of the wolf… what about the Valeblossom Dew?…Anyone?

Like I said, it’s on those pink "blossom-like" trees in Broken Sands. Just go near them and get the exclamation marks to come up.

Got the Barheim Passage Key and poned the Bloodwing…had something else to ask but can’t remember at the moment…
