Over LAN Co-op games?

does anyone know of any great co-op games for PC?

something along the lines of diablo II IN CONCEPT. but does NOT have to be rpg or whatever. genre doesn’t matter. just being able to have 2 pc’s in a network, playing through what would nromally be the single player story/campaign of a game with a friend would be totally awesome.

i just recently found out about "sven-coop" which is a mod to make the original half life co-operative. i played through it with my bro and we had a ton of fun.

would love it if you guys could help me compile a list of good pc games that have co-op mode over lan like that.

i’ll add a few that i know of already to get things started for anyone else interested.

Diablo II (i think part I as well)

I heard you can do it with Age of Empires, but maybe they meant lan games and i’m looking for being able to play the story/campaign not just join lan games with no story or nothing.

in the rpg world. Dungeon Siege can do it i think. (the reason i bought it long ago and got a confirm from another forum)

and thanks to sven-coop. Half Life can do it as well.

ps. i would definately love more fps’s but i’ll take ANY genre.

Serious sam 2nd encounter allows co-op play.

Actually i think there is Wikipedia section listing all co-op games. You might want to search for it.

Rainbow Six: Vegas allows coop play. You only need one copy too… ($20 game nowadays, but you better have a decent video card… Nvidia 7000’s or higher recommended and at least 3Ghz processor.

Also I believe the Gears of War on PC is coop too. Might need multiple copies for this (if you wanna be legit that is). I haven’t tried this yet, but it’s the bomb on the XBox.

oh… you can’t forget the original Doom and Doom II either. Graphics will suck, but it’ll let up to 4 people play the levels. Ahhhhh… memories. They don’t make’m like they used to…

Also, there is co-op for Doom, related game WADs, Quake and Quake 2.

Well It’s great on pretty much every mode, Zombie Horde is the shit however 🙂

dude. i fucking love you! i was looking for coop mod for hl2. i couldn’t find it on the sven website (all i saw was for hl1) and thought i read they were still working on it. this is fucking fantastic.

and for cz would be great too cause i know that game has a single campaign.
