Doom 2 DOSBox emulated Game rip

Credits:Me! I made these using Audacity and low quality 128 kbit/sec mp3 encoding (meaning these may not sound that great for the discriminating ear)

Other thoughts:Epic Pinball Enhanced was a pinball game made around 1993 with some (in my opinion) awesome midi music. My favorite tracks are Jill of the Jungle, Deep Sea, and Space Journey. Fighter’s Destiny was a not so popular fighter for the N64 but I loved the music (my favorite track is Boro’s and Joker’s Stage). If the music is hard to hear and has alot of static, that’s all I could do with this amateur recording Audacity program and a sound-out cord from my stereo to PC. As for the Doom 2 Dosbox rip, I didn’t like J-War’s Doom 2 Arrange and the re-done midi instruments in Final Doom didn’t suit me, so I made a close to original Sound Blaster emulated version. Some of the instruments are off by alot but its the best I could do :).

Edit:Whoops! Forgot to put which OST’s I was sharing in my topic, sorry. Seems I can’t edit the topic to correct it either.

Oh wow I can’t believe it! I thought *nobody* liked the music in Fighter’s Destiny besides me. All of the reviewers that reviewed this game said the game was average to horrible and the music was nothing special either I figured nobody would want it but here you are thanking me :). How they can call Boro’s stage music "average" is beyond me :).

Also, if anyone else finds any of those links to be dead, pm me or post in this thread and I will re-upload to sendspace.

Well you’re welcome. 🙂

Actually that’s my favorite stage too. And if you get the crowd noise added with it when you win a round it makes it even better. Actually I wished I had ripped the sounds of the crowd in the sound test menu I used to record all this.

P.S. Wow, I didn’t realize those megaupload links would still be working! Maybe I should move them to my Sendspace account just to be safe…

Hehe, it does sound very French doesn’t it? I also like the graphics for his background stage. It looks like the ruins of a coliseum or something, but what I really like is the lighting of the stage. I just get drawn right in.

Your Fighters Destiny rip is incomplete. You only have 12 tracks but the one I ripped in 2007 has 18.

By all means, feel free to post your complete rip. I would appreciate it as would the others. I just uploaded this rip because I didn’t see any rips of this game uploaded at all (if you have already posted this then I apologize. I’m not the best at searching for ost’s on this forum). I wouldn’t mind hearing Boro’s stage at higher quality and without all the static you hear in my rip (which was done from sound out on my stereo to line in on my computer. Poor sound quality, as you can see.)

Edit:I checked out your homepage and found a link to your Fighter’s Destiny rip, but it looks like I need to pay money and register with fileplanet in order to download your soundtrack.

I ran a search for "fighters destiny" and this is what I got.

I just scrolled down the first page and I saw the topic:
Fighter’s Destiny on N64 and Dungeon Keeper on PC

It’s in there.. wasn’t hard for me to find it.

Not if you register for a FREE account…

You are correct on both counts. I did find that very same link after I searched for Fighter’s Destiny after making my previous post and found the link to your homepage. And yes I didn’t read that page that said registering for fileplanet is free…now I have an account and downloaded your gamerip. It should be good. 🙂

I’m probably being picky and I don’t expect you to make another rip of the game, but I just love the crowd sounds you can play in the sound inside the options menu. Also I love the joker’s laugh, which is a sound clip I have in the rip of the I made. Too bad I didn’t include the crowd cheering. Heck you mind as well make a rip of all the game’s sound effects but who has the time for that?

Anyway, thanks for your help. I didn’t expect to find such a good rip of the game. Heck I didn’t even know so many people liked the music to this game. I went through probably a half dozen reviews online which either never mentioned the game music or said the music was mediocre. Not to mention the ambient sound effects that go perfectly with the music like on Abdul’s stage. And they said the sound effects were "muffled" which I strongly disagree with. What were they thinking?
