ITT Redmage and jobs?

If the redmage were to enter FF9 say as a charcter received after quina and befor eiko would it fit in with the jobs provided?

I don’t think it would fit in since that the jobs are set and can’t be switched around easy. also what armour/weapon set would he use?

would it be:
Steineirs weapon set?
vivi’s/eiko/daggers hat set?
freya/ stiener armour set?
and amerants/zidangs glove set?

plus would be have white magic like beatrix or dagger or eiko?

I would say out of all the characters I had thought of Freya as actually being a dragoon/red mage; her abilities in magic are the not traditionally titled magics, but she still posses magic of both white and black nature. Amarant holds the same as well with his magic abilities too.

Amerant was a monk, he fought with his hands, and used spells monks learn in other games. tatics for example kinda made of the focus ability for Vivi since it wasn’t something i’d use, ever….

he has one guy called kain. he looks like freya exp is male and blue he uses white magic and jump

other dude is Squall looks very funny cuz he’s clearly pixilated from ff8 and is way taller then everyone he uses swords but it never changes what he looks like, he has blk mge and wht mge one more dude is called Fargus he looks like a shorter amerent with fiar tried back and some diferant clothes. he has steal and summon and he can only use tital wave for his summon

I believe the battle system in IX was very well balanced, and that a Red Mage would not fit

Freya reminds me of a red mage because of the coat and hat she wears but she isn’t. I think of her as more a dragoon.

I think dagger would be the only white mage needed and Vivi would be a good enough black mage to have. They do both their jobs so good you wouldn’t need someone in between to help both. It would only make it much more helpful and easy.

I think if they did though, the red mage would have:

Zidane’s daggers (but only daggers)
some sort of robe (like something dagger or Vivi has)
any hat (but no helms)
and I don’t care about what kind of gloves or accesories.

Yeah, the red mages in Daguerro proves how out of place or extra they would be for IX.

I think Freya is more of a dragoon because for one she uses a spear and the battle command jump; just like Kain from FFIV and it says in the game he is a dragoon. However, since she can use the Dragon battle command which can help the party(ex: Reis’ Wind) and damage enemies(Dragon Breath), that kinda makes her similar to Edge(except for the ablilty to throw and steal) since he could also cast some magics but they weren’t extremely powerful.

IDK… I’m trying to type my opinion but I can’t really put it into words…I’m really out of it.
