A Well Rounded Listener

Ok I’m moderately new to this site and I’d first off just like to say thanks to everyone who takes the time to rip and upload all this fantastic music. Now I’ve been getting into VG music for about 2 years and my collection is not bad but I definately think that I have some large gaps in it. My NES is particularly week and I only know half thanks to The Minibosses and flyingommelette.com.

Here is my basic collection and can anyone recommend some soundtracks for specific systems, composers etc…

I’m gonna list a mix–both my personal preferences and also what you’re kinda expected to know around here.

With the NES music, it looks like you’re on the right track. Here are some of my other favorites: Batman, Ducktales, Adventures of Bayou Billy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Blaster Master, Guardian Legend, Journey to Silius, Wizards and Warriors, Battle of Olympus, Dr. Mario, Bionic Commando, Contra, Dragon Warrior, Gremlins 2, Gun.Smoke, Kirby’s Adventure, Little Nemo, Megaman 1, 2, & 3, Metroid, Mike Tyson’s Punch Out, Tetris, Shadowgate, and Silver Surfer.

For the SNES, I’d also recommend 7th Saga, Secret of Evermore, Actraiser, Earthbound, Final Fantasy IV, Front Mission: Gun Hazard, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Live A Live, Ogre Battle, Shin Megami Tensei, Sim City, Super Metroid, and Terranigma.

Playstation: Chrono Cross, Breath of Fire III, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy Tactics, Grandia, Legend of Mana, Ocarina of Time, Suikoden I & II, and Valkyrie Profile.
