Okay, I know there are a million requests already for Viva Pinata on the website, but it would be really lovely to get a rip.

I have the game for the PC and there is a folder called xwavebank which I’m sure holds all the game audio (the files range from 2KB to one 276000KB file with most being quite small, which would explain it). I know the 290MB file is actually a stream for the dialogue in the game too.

However, I’m a complete novice at ripping and there are no file extensions of even hints of file extensions. I have no idea what RARE use to store their files sadly…(yes I tried changing them into .wav and it didn’t work.).

I also can’t rip it because my sound card sucks. 🙁

So please, can anyone get the rip or help me out? Thanks.

Whats the extension of the wave sound bank?

There is none. The files are labelled "09e26591" or something rather like that.

However when I went into a folder called debug and looked at the db_index file, this was listed at the bottom:

aid_xwavebank_pinata_alerts 1161004894 4.040
aid_xwavebank_pinata_ambient 1161004788 4.040
aid_xwavebank_pinata_ant 1161004783 4.040
aid_xwavebank_pinata_applethud 1161004784 4.040
aid_xwavebank_pinata_badger 1161004811 4.040
aid_xwavebank_pinata_bat 1161004857 4.040
aid_xwavebank_pinata_bear 1161004713 4.040
aid_xwavebank_pinata_beaver 1161004885 4.040
aid_xwavebank_pinata_bee 1161004742 4.040
aid_xwavebank_pinata_bluebottle 1161004716 4.040
aid_xwavebank_pinata_builder 1161004855 4.040
aid_xwavebank_pinata_bushbaby 1161005729 4.040

etc…

Sorry if this is entirely noobish information, I have NO idea how this works. 🙁

Uhm, I did. It was the rapidshare link. I just plucked a random file from the folder and zipped it up. What else do you want me to do? :S

Not from the debug folder, an actual sound file that has xmwavebank in the title.

Not from the debug folder, an actual sound file that has xmwavebank in the title.

The debug folder only had the txt file in it which I pulled the info and 2 .bin files (debug pack/hash)! The file I sent you was directly pulled from the xwavebank folder and has absolutely no extension so I have no idea what to do with it. I’ll send you the entire xwavebank folder instead…which is very big. I hope you do not mind. (261 megs)

Sorry if I’m really not helping, but I gave you all the info I can get out of it, if you have any suggestions I’ll carry them out – I really want the music too! 🙂

Thanks.

Also, in addition to the xwavebank folder there is a xwavebankloc which contains a likewise file to those in xwavebank for each language in the game.
