Are we supposed to be impressed? Or is there some sort of inside joke-thing that my long (and frequent) absences would cause me to not know about?

Marvin and I have been the ringleaders of the PS3 vs. X360 argument since the two consoles were announced – I accuse him of being a rabid PS fanboy, he accuses me of being a rabid MS fanboy.

He never believed my "I’ll get a PS3 when a game comes out on it I actually want to play" argument, hence the photographic evidence!

The game, for any interested parties, happens to be The Eye of Judgement. Oh, and Assassin’s Creed comes out in a few weeks, and I want to get it on whichever console it looks better on, which might be the PS3.

Well then, Congratulations and welcome to the dark side. *hands over a cookie* I actually picked up Eye of Judgment the other day, but I’m still playing Ratchet and Clank, Folklore, trying to complete Heavenly Sword in hell mode and getting back into playing Resistance and Warhawk online. It’s been a busy gaming season for me so I haven’t given EoJ a chance yet. But as I’ve said, I will be getting a Wii. But I hear they delayed SSBB. What’s up with that? I want to play with Kid Icarus. You gotta give us your review on the PS3. And if you want a good Blu-ray movie, get Crank. 😉

Edit: Is that a 40GB? I’m sure you got Spiderman 3 with it.

I just read about that. They’re just trying to make the game better to meet expectations/exceed.

It is a 40GB, but unfortunately Australia didn’t get the ‘free Spider-man 3’ deal. Which is ok, because i’m planning on buying the Spider-man trilogy, so I don’t need two copies of it. I’m getting Casino Royale tonight (my friend had two copies, because he bought it, and then Sony sent him out a free one), so i’ll see how it stacks up against HD. Although i’m pretty sure they’ll be nigh-on-identical on my 1080i setup anyway.

Eye of Judgement is heaps of fun, and we’ll have to play online sometime. When I stop getting my ass kicked by the computer, and get a few better cards. I’m going to either get Ratchet and Clank or Heavenly Sword depending on which demo I like more. I’ll probably end up getting both, but funds are kinda tight after buying the PS3 itself :B

Anyways, i’m adding you to my friends list, so I hope to catch you online sometime 🙂

I just picked up the spidy trilogy today. Heavenly Sword demo doesn’t give you enough though. It’s only a few minutes long and it doesn’t show off much. Ratchet and Clank is also great, but it sucks they didn’t include online gaming like Size Matters, but oh well. Besides that, they are both currently my 2 fav PS3 games. You plan on upgrading the HDD or adding Linux?

No immediate plans. 20GB has been enough on the X360 for me since launch, and even though PSN games are bigger, I can’t see myself using up 40GB anytime soon.

That will change if the PS3 Linux community manages to get support for the graphics hardware, though. WoW on PS3 is something I would very much like to see.

Damnit, for me to get all three, I have to work four months with overtime, which by the time I get to buy them, I’d probably be already too jaded/worked-into-insanity to enjoy them 🙁

I’m sorry to say it, but holding onto that view right now is excessively optimistic at best, and possibly outright foolish.

Consider this: The announcement of the delay naturally sparked a renewal of rumors of the game going multi-console, and they may just be stronger than ever now. That announcement itself really isn’t such a big deal though. However, we all know Kojima is a big PS3 supporter, so why wouldn’t he be hot on the heels of such an announcement to quash those rumors, as he has been in the past? That’s the telling point.

Simply put, Marvin, the circumstances look very much like it is not only being released multi-console, but it’s a worst-case scenario for the PS3 if so because this also means that it’s being prepped for simultaneous launch on both platforms.

Now it could all just be coincidence, but ignoring the possibilities at this point is just silly.

I cant imagine how the list of the exclusive titles for the PS3 will look like without MGS4. :/ I mean, this is what PS fans have been waiting for 2 years

Perhaps, but I’ve listened to enough pod casts and read enough interviews that have just came out from Konami that all promises this will be PS3 exclusive and they have no plans or interest for any multiplatform with MGS4. They do feel the pressure of this expecting to be a huge system seller, especially in Japan, but they are not ruling out the risk they and Sony are taking if it doesn’t sell. Konami understands it would be a huge loss for them. Personaly, I’m not worried.

I’m just really shitty at dusting. The 360 and Wii are just as dusty, it just doesn’t show up on the white.

I shudder to think what my PS3 is going to look like in a month.

Also: Mario in MGS4 would be really awesome, and also possible in minigame form. Kinda like the Ape Escape minigame in MGS3 😀
