About the only future title I am looking for is Mario Kart and the Wii Fit stuff. I do want to try the Wii Zapper stuff though thats out. Hopefully that will make this system worth it.
Anyone else feel this way, like the Wii at least for now feels like a waisted purchase?
AAA titles: Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearer, Mario Kart Wii, Nights, Medal of Honor Heroes 2, No More Heroes, Zack and Wiki, etc…
As for controlling better on the other systems, I have to say that it is quite obvious that Metroid Prime 3 has a far better control setup than Halo 3 and the other FPS games. And Mario Galaxy controls flawlessly.
You say the only games you find for the Wii feel too kiddy, but have you tried playing them or did you just look at a few screenshots and decided they weren’t worth your time? If so, then consider giving some of them a try. This IS a Nintendo console, you should expect cheerful looking games. If you still can’t get into it, try some like Zelda, Metroid Prime 3 or Resident Evil 4. They don’t feel kiddy and are fun as heck.
If after all this you still find the Wii a useless purchase, I guess the Wii just isn’t your thing.
He’s either a complete retard or some PS3 fankid eager to discredit the Wii by claiming he has one and doesn’t enjoy it.

Goo goo gaga bitch.
And there is always Legend of Zelda and Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition, as well as Manhunt 2 (if you are looking for violence). Not to mention the upcoming Soul Calibur game and the new Fatal Frame title.
how on earth did you fuck up the "you are" contraction the first time then get it right the second time
I don’t really think he is that
Clearly.
…
fyi i completely disagree with you
You really have no idea what you’re talking about. Were you not someone I’ve come to like a bit, I would be calling you a retard right about now.
Clearly.
They should make Haloid.
Sorry if it’s becoming a repetition of a repetition.
But it is just so satisfying to repeat the truth over and over again that I couldn’t help it.
Narrowminded.
I’d rather say: Sarcastic.
i think you’re gay then
Maybe it’s just because this MorgothErmis is a waste of bandwidth and only comes to the shrine to post random stupidities without ever making much sense in regard to the topics.
He’s pathetically annoying at best.
BTW, I’ll be buying Wii in a few weeks. I’ll find out if it’s a useless purchase or not.
PRAISES TO HALO AND CS
well sorta. 2 me it’s more the wiimote controller that lets u have fun because it’s made 2 b easy to use and master
Plus Halo 3 gets boring after a while imo.
The Wii is a waste of money IF you are looking for games that depict a movie-type storyline into the game.
Fans of older games, such as the many classics that Nintendo is still expanding, and younger children will definitely get more of a kick out of a Wii then say, teenagers.
Most teenagers own a 360/PS3 because that want that non-stop-action-blow-shit-up-finish-the-game-in-4-hours-and-then-play-online-to-talk-shit type of game.
Also, the 360 still has the largest library of games and the most diverse.
Now I know you might say, "Joey the 360 had a head start of over a year so of course they have more games!" But that is just another sob story that’s been overused and quite frankly a little annoying.
Nintendo is still a great company and they are known for their great performance, but my Wii has not delievered a single game so far that I enjoyed enough to replay or consider a favorite.
Come haters.
Not that I’m saying any other consoles are bad — obviously if you’re into certain types of games, 360 and PS3 are more for you.
For the really serious gamers out there, Wii might not be the best choice. But it does offer a little something for everyone, of any age, of any "gaming" experience. As more innovative games come out for Wii, the more the user base will grow. I don’t think 360 or PS3 is drawing in many more gamers than the same demographic they had before. Wii is drawing from a much broader demographic, and I think that’s what will make them more successful in the long run.
But yeah, if I wanted to play shoot-em-up games with good graphics online, my first choice would not be a wii.
its like a wallet, see? it costs 10 bucks. you have 12. you can buy the wallet (blackmarket, no tax) and keep your 2 bucks in it…
but no girl wants to pony up on some guy with just 2 bucks (unless its a $2 bill…who was on that, btw?)
so is it better to keep $2 in a wallet? or $12 in your pocket?
for now, the wii is limited, just like your budget. give it time, and your pants will be bursting.
So he obviously fails at life and argument.
That sucks for him because it is a legitimate debate that’s been going on for too long.

that is quite possibly the most retarded analogy i’ve ever heard.
seriously, what?
seriously, what?
theres nothing wrong with the wii, its the games. (people say)
just like with the money and wallet thingy.
why bash the entire system over the ‘poor’ selection of first line games?
actually, i make analogies like that alot…they make sense then, but later on, they dont. i think i get lost in the middle of making it and skip on one small thing…the thing that ties it all together and makes it make sense. apology here.
the wii will have more games.
said wallet will be filled with ones and twenties to roll on
and the wii will win the hearts of all the people who hate it now (half of them are hardcore RPG dudes, and the other half are the kids who’re a lil plump, and play games to get away from exersize. but, of course, there may be a third half of wii haters that i dont know about.)
manbearpig, people. 3/2 works
srsly

This post is almost as full of fail as the OP’s. Almost. I love my Wii. While I’m not a huge FPS guy, I’m totally enamored with MP3. Twilight Princess is probably the best Zelda game I’ve played, and Mario Strikers Charged is pure genius. Zack and Wiki is supposed to be really good–Prak even likes it, and his standards are higher than mine.
Long story short, if you’re not a FPS freak or a graphics whore, the Wii probably has as many gotta-play games as the 360. And I haven’t even begun about the Virtual Console.
Yet, I can agree that when all the big titles do come out I’ll be more than proud of my Wii.
I know you hate Halo, but you won’t ever see me bitch about never again having to hear some spoiled 12-year old who’s hyped up on Mountain Dew shrieking like a banshee at the top of his obnoxious lungs throughout a whole damn game. Perhaps I just haven’t found the right clan or guild or what-the-fuck-ever, but I’ve found online play to be highly overrated. This might not be the hardcore, uber-gamer thing to say, but I have more fun playing Wii Sports with my in-laws (in-laws!) than I ever have playing anything online. Hell, watching them play Wii Sports is more fun than most online games I’ve run across.
Whew. Yeah. That was more-or-less my rant-tastic way of saying that the Wii’s seeming lack of online play (MSC and the upcoming Smash Bros. would beg to differ, btw) means less than nothing to me.
People say that the Wii is childish, which is total bs. Yeah the Wii didn’t focus on graphics like everyother system. Instead they did something unimaginable….. they decided to focus more on gameplay than graphics *gasp*. I mean the PS3 and the 360 are great/fun systems and their graphics are amazing but nothing is more amusing in my opinion than swinging the Wii mote around and watching your character hit a tennis ball or kill someone with a sword.
Nintendo is focusing on gameplay isn’t of looking flashy. Where as everyone else is focused on flashy images. I think the Wii is a nice change of pace in the gaming world.
The internet fails to translate sarcasm.

I guess that means the Wii is meant for you. I’m just saying you can’t be mad at people who bitch about the Wii, because it is their own fault for not buying a 360 or PS3. Because all their arguments are the same. (To childish, lack of online support, gimmicky controls, etc.) They should’ve picked the console that better suited them.
Also, it is hard to say that the Wii rules supreme over the other console and vice versa because of how uniquely different the 360/PS3 is from the Wii. Therefore, I find all "Wii sucks compared to 360" arguements totally lame and pointless. Even though I do agree the 360 is my favorite console out of the three, I try not to stress my biased opinion over Wii owners.
So basically my main point is: I can understand why people bitch about the Wii, because most of it is true. Yet, it is their fault for choosing a system that puts all of its flaws right in front of you and you still buy it.
Uh, what? Anybody stupid enough to buy a Wii without taking all of three seconds to figure out what it’s about gets a pass for their stupidity? That’s the most retarded thing you’ve ever said.

This is exactly what I think. If a game is easier to play because of the wiimote, then I say play it! The Xbox 360 and the Playstation3 only focuse graphics. Now if only the made a system with both of those……
Damn…. a system with an interactive controller AND amazing graphics.
One day, my friend, one day
Damn, I just realized I basically typed the opposite of what I meant to. Yeah, that looks pretty retarded.
WHEN I GOT THE WII I DIDN’T DO IT BECAUSE THERE WERE LOTS OF GAMES I WANTED OR ANYTHING
I JUST REALIZED THAT THEY SOLDS LOTS SO LIKELY THAT COMPANIES WOULD BE FORCED TO MAKE GAMES FOR IT AND THERE SHOULD BE SOME GOOD ONES FROM THAT
THOUGH MARIO GALAXY WAS AWESOME I GOT BORED OF IT FOR NOW BUT UM SMASH BROS AND NIGHTS
I UNDERSTAND IF YOU GUYS LIKE YOUR XBOX360 BECAUSE IT IS A PRETTY NOISY SYSTEM LIKE YOUR NEIGHBORS
A classic!
-Originality and diversity in the games lineup (No More Heroes, Zack and Wiki, Mario Galaxy, Project O, Fina Fantasy Crystal Bearers, Okami…)
-VC, ‘nouf said.
-Wii-Mote: I’ve never been so much interested in shooters…
-Wiiware, interesting… Even, very interesting.
-Backward compatible.
I find it hard to belive that some people find nothing to play with it or maybe it is that I just like to play with more than one genre.
That might be the most intelligent point in this entire thread. 😀
I don’t think my brain can make it.
I’m sorry to tell you this, but yes…
Is it me, or did she take my question seriously?
O_o

I quote this for truth, but some parts I did edit.

come on, i dont follow console wars but your blatant over reaction has shown you up to be a biased nintendo fanboy.
right only noticing now this threads moved on a good bit…oh well.

And you have there shown to be a complete moron, with a complete lack of reasoning abilities whatsoever.
Prak didn’t say anything fanboyish. All he did was put some examples as to why the Wii isn’t worthless. And what more, he did so without shouting shit about the other 2 systems (which is a pre-requisite for any "respectable" fanboy).
Again, you’re a total moron and should consider never posting here again.

QFT. Also, is it just me, or does it look like Pikachu is humping that poor girl in Destai’s avatar?
Someone actually called ME a fanboy…
Amazing.
ITT: Destai makes a fool of himself and gets mocked for the next two pages.

All the original guy did was mention a bit of dissapointment in his wii and Prak went off the deep end.
"The whole "nintendo is kiddy lol" mentality is retarded, and ANYONE who says it nstantly loses all credibility in any reasonable discussion. This guy obviously has thought next to nothing of his Wii since day one, assuming he truly does own one, or he would know that the whole kiddy debate is long since over,
He’s either a complete retard or some PS3 fankid eager to discredit the Wii by claiming he has one and doesn’t enjoy it."
I’ve checked again but still don’t get where the hell it came from. I may have miss called fan boy features with his personality but, well big deal.
Obviously I’ve wandered into the lions den, so I guess I’ll just wander back out.
However, a good 80 or 90% of the hours I’ve put in on mine have been Super Smash Bros. Melee… which is probably a testament to how great Melee is and not to anything lacking with the Wii, but still. In fact, while I have and enjoy quite a few games on the console, none really have been calling me to replay them (although I want to 3-heart challenge TP soon and unlock the super secret final stage in SMG and I need to finish MP:3).
Brawl will be amazing so I’m looking forward to that.
For my RPG needs and similar cravings, though, I’m looking at the 360 currently. Eternal Sonata and Mass Effect? Bioshock? Yes plz.
And Elder Scrolls fo sho

Way to place a label on gamers, lol. I grew tired of those so called "non-stop-action-blow-shit-up-finish-the-game-in-4-hours-and-then-play-online-to-talk-shit type of games" after the first XBox. I realized they were all the same games and I had to get away from that. The Wii so far has brought gaming back to life for me. I bought Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition and I’ve been up well past 4 A.M every night playing it, the same goes for other games such as Mario Galaxy, TP, MP3, RE:UC, MoHH2, etc. Not all of the games are "kiddy" or "lackluster in movie like stories",…. that’s just a stupid statement. Anyways, I’m gonna go and play Wii now…

For the record, I’m pretty sure you can’t 3-heart Twilight Princess. After you defeat a boss, you have to pick up the heart container to advance the game. I could be wrong though.
And Mass Effect. It’s the game of the year. I’ve put 70-80 hours into it already.
Less than that. Two hours.
You can shorten the length of almost any game 50-75% if you speed run. Some games an even higher percentage. The fact is that it still took most people a good 10-20 hours to beat Resident Evil 4 (or the Wii version if you didn’t play the Cube)
I’ve been saying something very similar to that since shortly after the 360’s release, as have a few others. In all honesty, if it weren’t for Wii, or if it Ninty had joined the "arms race" in terms of consoles (meaning who can make them bigger, more powerful, more expensive, with more processors, and more difficult to develop for), I’d have picked up a new ps2 when my old one blew up (and probably a GC) and stuck with the "last" generation of games. Hell, my ps1 is more heavily used than my Xbox right now.
