Crisis core conflicts with Final fantasy 7 , in relation to Zack�s death.
In the beginning of Final Fantasy 7 , Zack Fair first appears after your first encounter with Aries .
Once your escorting her home you arrive in her slum town, whereby you meet a sick man inside an old engine in need of medicine, who is actually Zack, as he is the same character you see in all the flash backs , also when you arrive back throughout the game when possible , its evident he has left for the reunion , as another NPC mentions that he leaves.
He also has a Number 2 tattoo, if you ever followed the game that closely ^_^
If you compare it with CC everything adds up(the final show down , the dramatic fight , the location , Cloud and Zack)��apart from�..how he actually dies?
I have been speaking with my friends at work, and we all agree something is wrong?
Has anyone else noticed this?
We can�t stop thinking/talking about it , did SquareEnix make a mistake???
Or are we just making our own story up ??

Zack’s been dead. If you played FFVII entirely then you would have found the flashbacks (epsecially the all important Zack heavy ones). Besides, wasn’t that crazy sick guy in the Sector-5 slums like a bald sailor or something. I definitely do not believe that it was Zack, I’d believe it was Santa Claus, Jack Skellington, or Bozo the Clown before believing it was Zack.

The guy in the pipe was one of the Sephiroth clones gone wrong. I have no idea where you could’ve gotten the notion that was Zack.

Well we did play FF7 again just to have a comparison and the guy in the slums looks a lot like the Zack from the flash backs , I would recommend just having a look ^_^ .

I’m not saying that Zack is the retard in the slums like the poster is…didn’t Zack actually die in Nibelheim and told Cloud "Kill…Sephiroth…", so unless I’m remembering wrong it seems to me that Mr. Fair has 9 lives and has died twice, if not then the Nibel encounter was only near-death.
But still there are some loose ands in the plot, because of Genesis.
But I`m almost 88% sure that Zack has died because of resisting Shin-Ra. Even in the OVA Last order: Final Fantasy VII it was told that way.
Samuel_D: I`m sure you don`t get something, I don`t clearly remember how the guy in the slums looked, even if it was similar to Zack it was probably because of lack of characters back then, 3D stuff was just begining to get a real form so it`s not such a big deal if they used the same body textured differently.

I don’t know about any of you guys, but one that popped out around where I live involved finding the Sector 5 key and then search around the slums for a certain general or colonel. No more details beyond that.
I don’t mind the theories if they make me laugh so if it’s Zack back to life they want, let them dig all they feel like.

I recently watched Last Order for the first time and was wondering about the last scene, we saw Tseng dispatch the Turks and then the Shinra guys wanted to deal with Zack and Cloud themselves so the Turks wouldn’t take the glory or something like that. Are we to believe that if the Shinra guys had waited for the Turks, Zack would not have been killed?
First they were fighting Sethiroth inside the reactor then after getting hurt they were moved to the basement of the shinra mansion where zack broke them out….cloud at this time was under mako posioning. and could not do anything Zack on the other hand was as strong as angeal.
so he took cloud and ran towards midgar and thats when they were heading to midgar to kill Shin-ra but were stopped by the 2nds and the turks… It was Tseng that authoized the "targets" ( cloud & Zack ) because they were going to stop the Shinra cold in their tracks , however while out of action zack moves to protect Cloud from getting shot, zack being to tired to move gets hit and slowly starts to die….and as he dies in cloud’s arms he tells cloud to "protect his honor, and embrace his dreams….and to kill Sethiroth…"
so while cloud was still out of it , he re-writes his past because he thinks he is zack because of his promise to zack when he died.
and the tattoo on that guy in the slums is A #2 but that doesnt mean that is a Sethiroth clone , because there were Mutiple people with numbers that had repeating digits…

yeah, and if you send 20$ to Square soft, they beam your memory card with a satellite and give your game save Aeris again. Dude, does ANYONE else remember that whole magazine article?

Zack is definitely dead. One of the saddest endings i’ve ever seen. reminded me of aeris dying. It was alot more gruesome though, trying to fight and not being able to do anything about the outcome. Zack is not the guy in the tunnel. that is a sephiroth clone as everyone said. Zack cannot succomb to mako poisoning like Cloud because he was already fused with mako. Cloud was a infantryman when he was captured so he did not have any mako yet. Only Soldier were fused with mako. The next thing is that i have a theory. I think Sephiroth was talking to cloud from the beginning of final fantasy vii and making him believe he was a member of soldier and everything. Everytime he would say something off from his regular story, the screen would flash and the words he is given to say comes up on the screen as if someone is telling him. what do u think?

he and a voice have a conversation, and it offers him reminders. These voices
are the original Cloud, as — due to Hojo’s Sephiroth Clones experiment —
Zack’s personality merged with his, creating the present day Cloud, producing
a conflict of multiple personalities(–>P.11).
During the scene in the first mako reactor, what [the voice] says is it
[trying] to point [Cloud] toward the memory of Sephiroth five years ago in
Nibelheim’s mako reactor, as the two places were similar. However, Cloud is
not able to listen to the words of the memory.

As for this troll malarky, also from the UO Guide;
Cloud was a successful Sephiroth Clone, having the exact results Hojo had hoped for; he wasn’t the failure at all, and instead, Zack — who freed Cloud before he could get a number — was. Zack could handle the SOLDIER/Sephiroth Clone treatments just fine, and this made him a failure for the purposes of Hojo’s experiment.
