SNES OSTs – Request and you will probably recieve!

There’s not a comprehensive list here – just ask me what you want and I’ll try to rip it from a ROM.

UPDATE: I will not attempt ripping from RPGs as I don’t have the time to play them through. If the game has a sound test, then I can do it in my spare time, but I’m not a person with tons of free time on my hands. That being said, I will still take requests for RPG Music, but I will only be converting SPC’s that have already been dumped, most likely by SNESmusic.org. I give full credit to them for their excellent SPC files.

I can’t do Genesis rips yet, but I’m working on it.

Query: Are these rips going to have track names? I have a feeling that I know what the answer is, but I figure I may as well ask.

Can you do *any* SNES game, then? There are a bunch that SNESMusic.org has not done – and stated that they can’t do as *.spc sets, so I can’t convert them. Even those you can do, then?

I’ll try to name them, if I can. If I can find the names, I’ll go in and change the album, genre, artist and Title references myself. Which means ONE AT A TIME 🙂 However, I only have the ability to rip to .spc, I think. If SNESMusic.org cant get the SPC files then I probably wont be able to. I definitely don’t have the resources to rip from the actual cartridges.

ZSNES has the ripping capability built in, so I assume if I have the ROM file, I can rip the music from it. If I’m not mistaken, you must play through every level to rip the music, so I would probably resort to save states. I can jack those from ZD, though…

IF you’d like it faster, and from the sweat of the backs of SNESmusic.org, then I could just do the conversion for you, but that’s the choice of the asker.

So ask whatever you want, and I’ll tell you if I can do it. But it will be very slow, depending. That’s about all I can do as of now.

EDIT: I will not be able to do LOTR Volume 1 as of right now. It’s a long game, and there are no savestates. Unfortunately I don’t have the time to play through a game to find the music, at the moment. I have Tales of Phantasia zipped and ready to be uploaded at the moment, but I cannot take credit for the music as it comes from a CD, not a game. That being said, the music quality will be better, and there are a few extras… 🙂

Updated. I’ve added Tales of Phantasia, and Donkey Kong Country. DK Country 2 and three, Kirby’s Super Star, and Indiana Jones will be forthcoming in next few days.

LOL, I think it’s recording with an emulator. I’m new to this whole thing, so I’m probably using the wrong terminology.

EDIT: Hmm… Apparently it’s not really possible to rip SPC sets yet… guess I’ll have to do sound test rips.

add everything from the games (all bgms, announcers’ and character’s voices with everything they say). let the bgms and voices have their own track. put title and time duration on tracks (these can be found on snesmusic.org). upload on the highest quality that you can, im looking for 192 if not higher.

I’m sorry, but I’m really only doing Soundtrack’s, not sound effects. I might be able to rip the sound effects but they won’t be in very good quality… But I defined what I would do in the first post. I’ll try to get you the voices, but remember that I have limited time to work with.

yeah you’re right. i apologize. it’s just that on some posts, when i downloaded soundtracks, sometimes they included the sounds from the game so i thought you’d be doing that, but yeah if you could get them from Killer Instinct and MK, i’d appreciate it and dont worry, though i prefer 128kbps, quality really DOES NOT MATTER AT ALL. as for soundtracks, i’d like them for the games i listed. please let us know when they’re here. last but not leasdt, thank you very much. your work is greatly appreciated.
