And also (to same thread room) What’s the largest chain you’ve ever gotten?
I got 125 in the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea killing Urutan Yensa. :O
I’ve had up into the 400’s before.
Dry: 2 Hours
Rain: 1 Hour
Example, you talk to Weather Eye at approx 79:45 hours gameplay, and at the next hour (80:00+) it is dry, then the rain will come at 82:00 hours gameplay since the dry lasts 2 hours, and then the rain 1 hour after that.
But I never chained anywhere over 300. I never needed to, and have never been willing to either since it is useless.
Its a good place to gain money as well, considering when the chain gets high, you get like:
3-4 Windslicer Pinions (on average) which sell for 1148 gil each (1148 x 99 = 113652 gil per stack of 99 you collect. Good :D)
Wind Crystals (common as windslicer pinions) for 160 gil each (15840 gil for 99 stack)
Mirror Scales (not as common) for 1952 gil each
And sets of Mirror Mail (sometimes multiple, my highest being four sets at once) for quite a bit, I dont have that number on me, heh.
Overall, you’ll be in the millions with gil if you do this for a day. Helps pay for those expensive ultimate weapons. 😀
I am now on my second playthrough and I’m chaining undead at Lhusu Mines. I’m wondering… how long does it take for the undead to span at Shunia Twinspan? I get to 42 and then it’s full stop. Those flying thingies at Transitway 1 breaks the chain, and I can’t go too much longer inside the mines, as there’s a boss fight there. Do I really have to go two areas away for the 42 undead to respawn?
Editga: I did find a way to make the spawn a little longer, so I got a chain of 113 before I tired and went back to save. (I am afraid of too long chains, as I worry about the console breaking or that my characters suddenly die in a stupid way so that I lose all my chain before I get to save).
Were you hunting that fucking bunny? That shit was so annoying. It kept running, hiding, and healing. But I got a 48 chain before I killed it.
