Looking for good world map musics

Hey all ^^ I wasn’t too sure where to post this, but since i’m not requesting any upload or mp3, i’ll try posting on this forum 🙂

The thing is, i’m looking for world map musics for my personal soundtrack, but since my rpg experience is rather relative (i.e I haven’t played many games apart from the Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger / Cross series), I had a somewhat limited tracklist in the end…

Which is why I ask you : are there any world map themes you like and I should have ? Or "world map-like" themes? (for instance, I’ve always thought that Life – Faraway Promise would fit quite well to FF6 Ruined World Theme, although it is not a world map theme at all…)

I’ve always liked the world map theme of Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistral. It is called ‘The Earth’.

The only one that I can call to mind at the moment is the first Golden Sun one. Yes, it’s a bit lame but I think it’s interesting. I don’t play many RPG’s (I really should) so I don’t know of many.

FFVII’s Main Theme (world map tune) has been ingrained into my head. Sorry for not offering anything new.

Main Theme of Final Fantasy (FFI), and Terra’s Theme (the world map music in the World of Balance in FFVI) are two of my favourite world map pieces.

Just the less said about FFVIII’s goddessawful Blue Fields the better though.

You know I’ve heard a lot of people share that opinion on Blue Fields – I’ve always really liked it, it’s kind of quirky and fits the game well in my opinion.

I think it’s worth a listen, as is the Main Theme in VII.

These are just some of my favorites. I’m excluding all FF since I’m sure that you know all those. If you want any of these tracks let me know and I can compile them for you :).

Albert Odyssey: The Legend of Eldean has some pretty good tunes as well.

Both overworld themes on Breath of Fire III are PRISTINE, even BOF4’s is nice.

I have a sentimental favorite: the map theme from Robotrek. It ain’t the best song ever, but it’s relaxing.
