Hi all,

Here’s the music from Dungeon Keeper 2 (two tracks, 25:04 and 21:24 in length). In-game it’s actually dynamic, so I spent a good few hours mixing it all together. The tracks aren’t stored in a very user-friendly fashion in the game. Both tracks start slow and ambient, building towards the end. In case you wonder, "Track 2" doesn’t exist in the game. Track 3 was very difficult to mix properly and I regret to inform you that there might be a few audible clicks in the quieter sections.

Take note that the tracks are encoded in Ogg Vorbis. (.ogg) and contained within a Zip archive.
I have no reason to use any other format. If you absolutely need mp3 or something, ask.

I don’t know how many people are going to download, the size is 30 MiB and I don’t have unlimited bandwidth so please, if you just can, use the public file hosts.

Fallback mirror (http://www.hannetuuli.fi/corexii/dk2ost.zip) (try this last)

Damn, I found the original tracks on the composer’s website, here (http://www.gamesounds.co.uk/downloads.html). There’s Track 2, too. For 1 and 3, I find my mixes have better quality though.

ive been thru many songs ingame.. i managed to find several tracks on mark knight’s website [composer/sound designer for dk2]: three ingame tracks, intro, fail outro, and win outro. thats just the first of it. the second amount of music i got was from the cd itself… you can find the files under E:\data\sound\sfx\global. the file type is .SDT and you can play it on windows media. the traks begin w/ letter t for track. there should be about 10 music tracks all together. ive made my own 2cd album out of them. i’ll try and UL those to you. i’ll also try out your tracks Core 12.

p.s. i almost forgot. if you want to get your hands on his dk2 music, go to his music game website at http://www.gamesounds.co.uk/. also when playing the music in the game using windows media, you can save the tracks as anything you want, but i must tell you have to save it as wma file if you want the tracks to be pristine in quality. trust me i know cos i have tried saving it as mp3 and it wasn’t good. wma is the best course of action.

Yeah, but all you’ve done is paste all of the different sections together one after the other. Because the music was dynamic, moving between 5 different levels of intensity, there were many different segues from one level to another, 1 to 2, 1 to 3, 1 to 4, 1 to 5 etc. etc. and you’ve just included them all, so the music doesn’t make so much sense anymore.

Listen to the original mixes from my website – that’s how they’re supposed to be heard 😉
