Can’t get enough of Akira Yamaoka? Then, you’ve come to the right place.
Below are links for just about every soundtrack having to do with Silent Hill, including fan-made complete soundtracks, and inspired by Silent Hill fan-made albums! Better than ANY torrent for silent hill music! For sure! 😀
Basically, I just copied and pasted links from other users that were scattered around in the forums and put them into one place. Any soundtracks that were missing I uploaded myself.
I mainly used Silent Hill: Lost Memories (http://www.silenthillmemories.net/) for information on all the soundtracks, soundtrack scans, tracklists, and lyrics.

(Machine Head is a moniker Akira Yamaoka adopted for his contributions to the No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle soundtrack and is not to be confused with the heavy metal band of the same name.)

Um… you can download where it says "Pics, tracklists, and lyrics to soundtracks here [12MB]" and just delete the tracklist and lyrics if you dont want them.

For the crazy fans who cannot breath once without thinking about SH, don’t forget the Broken Notes albums :

edit : Broken Notes Melancholy have his id3v2 tags corrupted. So, if your player cannot handle them correctly, remove them with a mp3 tag editor or update your software.
I was wondering why my computer kept telling me the files were corrupted. I must have downloaded the same files 5 times already!

on the silent hill 2 soundtrack there is a track called ”The Reverse Will”. if you reverse the track you can hear a girl saying ”if i should die, before i wake, i pray the lord my soul redeem.”

it is repeated over and over and ecohed in the background so it sounds like there is more to it.

as far as i know i am the only one to have discovered this.

The "complete" versions are bootlegs, that is they are the music extracted from the games themselves! Amazing how they do it without sound effects and stuff! Also, the music in the complete soundtracks never made it to the official soundtracks so, they’re nice to have.

Well even though i surprisingly have every inch of this music already. I do appreciate that there are other silent hill fans as into the music as i am..the music is actually what attracted me to the series. So i appreciate that you have supplied these links to other fans even though i have no use for them myself. More people need to experience this beautiful music as a standalone listening experience.. sadly though, neither the demo rip or the one by fungo, have some of the best tracks that i have yet to see anyone rip from the game, one exmple being the track that plays when your at the apartment. or the ambient track that plays right after you leave from the back door of the butchers. soooo yeah , there are quite a few tracks missing.

see the thing with these new silent hill original ost’s , they dont seem to include the music that i actually like from the game, all the ambien music thats, in the actual game that we all like, is replaced by a big cluster fuck of stuff i never heard during the game.

i prefer the rip, sorry, i might be alone on this one, but i do. and these bastards still didnt include the track from the apartments where you get the key . they did but has some quasi drumb music compiled in there that totaly kills this track. thank god for game rips, i might be the only one that actually enjoys the ambient music in sh.

I liked the arrangements and tweaks Yamaoka made to the album. He’s not the first man to do such things for the sake of creating a level listening experience. The downside of course is that some tracks are left out or don’t sound the way we’re used to hearing them in the game, but that’s what the game rips are for.

I expect a full game rip of Origins will surface after the PS2 port (http://www.amazon.com/Konami-Silent-Hill-Origins/dp/B0011BE3KA/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1202679231&sr=8-2) is released in March.

Does anyone have the full version of Lost Carol – from SH3. I know its on the OST, but its only the first 30 seconds of the track, which was about 2:00 in the actual game cutscene.

Dust (http://shm.silenthillfever.com/home.htm) has said that the full version of Lost Carol is indeed in the games code but the Douglas’ and Claudia’s voices are imprinted over it to make it one track. You can get the track but you’ll get the voices too.

Hmm… after a quick Google search. The Silent Hill V game hasn’t been released yet. The OST will be released sometime after the game is released. Akira Yamaoka completed the Silent Hill V soundtrack… for the game.
And finally, many people are passing out the Silent Hill Origins (Zero) OST as "Silent Hill 5 OST" :-\

I didn’t think people actually liked it because there were several versions of the Complete Soundtrack going around such as one done by Dust not sure if he finished it but most of his Soundtracks are really well put together and that other guy whose name has left my mind.

I’m kicking myself after finding out that there were several tracks in 128kb bit rate and 160kb, Silent Hill 3 was my first soundtrack that I ripped and Silent Hill 4 was the 2nd so I guess I learned to be extra careful when tagging them and making sure they were at high quality.

When Summer comes I will try my best to redo the entire soundtrack and give each track a name of it’s own.

Also, I’d like to point out that the Complete soundtrack for SH2: Born From A Wish isn’t really all that complete. Disregarding the fact that the voices weren’t cut from the music, it’s missing the main theme and the reprise, which I’m pretty sure can still be found on Dustfungus’s website (shm.silenthillfever.com still, isn’t it?). Also, you might want to point out to fans of this thread that the aforementioned site has a couple tracks at least from the Silent Hill: Lost Memories DVD. It’s not much, but at least the Usagi music track is on there.

–Well now I can’t find the BfaW tracks on Dust’s site and I’m gonna sound like a jerk. Poop. >_>

(1) No, "Born from a wish" isn’t "complete" if you want to get literal i can rename it as "selected unreleased tracks" but, being able to put it under the category "Complete" is soo much easier. (I can abbreviate the soundtracks as OST or CST) 🙂

Hardly any of the "complete" soundtracks are literally complete, the full version of Lost Carol – from SH3 is a perfect example.

Although, if everyone finds it too confusing i can change it. 😐

(2) Usagi is there alright! Weird though, there’s two different versions of "Art of Silent Hill" pretty confusing, they are pretty much the same though.

Anyways, yea there have been many complaints about that rip. Notice that is says "Silent Hill: Origins -Complete DEMO Rip-" and I’m sure Dust’s version is a demo rip too.
I and pretty much everyone who visits this thread are still waiting for a complete rip of the full non-demo game.

Silent Hell is… not as good quality as the Samael Version and costs $38 more X(

Well I mean the quality sucks compared to the samael version and it is all more noticeable if you use headphones!
For example I compared "Gray Children" with "Grey Children" and i thought the samael version sounded much better.
Most of the songs on "Silent Hell" sound scratchy, you can hear popping (most likely the cut & paste on a wav editor), and overall sounds like it was recorded with a microphone (best way i can describe it).
To think that people would pay hard earned money for this album ($38) makes me shudder! x(

Hello Silent Hill fans, I was wondering if there is any music available for Silent Hill Arcade.

It seems there is a UFO ending that features the Vic Viper from the Gradius series, and a play through of the first level of Gradius NES. I am interested to know if the music featured in that ending is around.

It is amazing, I do not know if it is official (I have been told it is?) Possibly even the official OST?
It is a Promo thing I think…All I know is that it is legit.
In anycase, even if you don’t care about the remixed ambient tracks that are found in the CSTs that are already in this thread for SH:H, you should be aware that it has ALL 4 vocal tracks in HIGH MP3 quality!!!!

Its my thread. All of the tracks are ripped from the original discs as .flac files. FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec. As the name suggests, unlike mp3, there is no loss in quality whatsoever.

The Silent Hill 2 CST (JAM) has all the ambience in BFAW without the voiceovers.
The BFAW CST is just the dialog from Maria’s side story in "Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams" (Xbox version) for those who never played it.

More than likely the rip by Fungo is a complete rip of all the files in the leaked Silent Hill Origins DEMO. I would like a complete rip of the actual full game, it should have more tracks.

All of the music files on the PS2 Silent Hill 3 disc are 48kHz PCM i.e. lossless. If anyone wants these I’ll upload them, all 55 of them 🙂

Most of the complete soundtracks are line-in rips but you can use the lossless .wavs from the disc to make a very high-quality SH3 complete soundtrack of your own.

Also, the music files on the Xbox SH2 disc are ADPCM (xbadpcm) so they’re not lossless but are twice the quality of mp3@320. Again you can make yourself a high quality complete soundtrack with these.

Anyone interested?

I was gonna upload in them in their raw state so others can make their own soundtrack but feel free to upload yours if you want 🙂

As they are in their raw state I can perform non-destructive editing in Adobe Audition – crossfade, fade-in/out, etc.

All of the music files on the PS2 Silent Hill 3 disc are 48kHz PCM i.e. lossless. If anyone wants these I’ll upload them, all 55 of them 🙂

Most of the complete soundtracks are line-in rips but you can use the lossless .wavs from the disc to make a very high-quality SH3 complete soundtrack of your own.

Anyone interested?

I have pretty much every official SH soundtrack disc so I can upload them as EAC/FLAC/CUE/LOG rips with 600dpi scans of the artwork:

i tried to get rid of the SFX for yuh then down-mixed it into a .wav file.
the quality was kinda distorted to begin with. but hey, it still sounds pretty cool.

Trying my luck again… anyone have a rip of the music that plays in the eerie forest section of Shattered Memories? It’s by far my favorite music from that game, but wasn’t on the soundtrack (how typical!)

To be more specific, it’s the music that starts up when you leave the initial cabin after you’re left stranded in Cybil’s police car. I have an insurmountable amount of thanks for anyone who can help.

It’s from the site "Silent Hill: Lost Memories". I’ve looked through the PC Soundtrack version of SH:H, and it has several songs on it that are not on the Complete Soundtrack. By any chance, does someone happen to have a tracklisting for the Silent Hill: Homecoming PC Soundtrack? It’d be greatly appreciated.

yeah, i think the one i used was from the Xbox360 folder.
didn’t realize how great sounding the PC version was
did the PC version include OGG tracks?

i do have the rest of the cinematic tracks without voices (for the most part)
but i think there’s quite a lot of SFX in them. i could clean them up as best as i can

To Plasmagummy, I had the same request. But I don’t think there is any real way to get rid of the dialogue, unfortunately. I’ve tried it myself using the PC version and the PS2 version. The only way the dialogue can be removed is if the cutscene glitches. It has happened to me where the music and the video would play normally but the voices wouldn’t. I guess it’s a matter of chance/luck and how buggy your version of the game is. Or find a way to manipulate and silence the dialogue file.

No its perfectly understandable, sucks really bad though..the background music for the cutscene is really great. So i take it the music and dialogue were fused together in the same soundfile or what?

I don’t think the music and the voices are fused, I think they’re separate. I could be wrong, but on the PC version, I managed to find the one for just the voices. I didn’t have any luck in trying to silent it or even delete it, though. That got frustrating…

Anyway, I wish they had created the cutscene files in more recognizable formats like they did for Homecoming.

The music from BFAW is really good, I just wish my game would glitch up at the right time and in the right way, lol.

Not to diminish the work of whomever ripped "Shattered Memories", but can someone rip the actual music from the game? I know we have the OST, but that’s all remixed and the music is different in-game. For example, maybe we could get an instrumental version of the song Michelle sings.

Its not easy to get the music from SHSM, the archive system seems a bit complexe.

By the way if you’re getting SH3 I recommend the one that includes #26 Rain of Brass Petals – Three Voices Edit which is my favorite from that album (and if you’re making a purchase pay attention, I own the actual album and that one’s not on my copy).
While I’m at it I also recommend Nurses of Despair which is on one of the Broken Notes albums. I can’t get enough of that one.

I’ll be getting the box sometime soon (already shipped) and will compare to the CDs I already own (which are the ones for SH 2, 3, 4, 0, and Shattered Memories). I heard they were all remastered, but I’ll let you guys know what my ears find out. :p

Unless somebody gets to it first, I’ll upload the Homecoming OST from the box. I assume it sounds better than the US preorder bonus, but that’s just a guess.

Edit: Just read greysun’s edit. :p Supply those FLACs, yo! If I rip any of this stuff it’ll be no higher than 320kbps and I know some people have qualms with that, heh.

Hi guys! Just want to give an update. The links for the FLAC files, videos [from the DVD] and scans of the inserts should be posted and ready by tomorrow.

Which format for videos would be best for everyone? I have them already in VOB. I’m pretty sure most DVD players and Windows Media Player are able to play those kind of files. If there’s another format preferred, just let me know.

As for the MP3 files, I’m not sure if anyone except Abnormal Freak will be posting them. If someone is, let me know. If not, I can post those, too. 🙂

**"Silent Hill Extra Music" link fixed!**
All the files below [except the songs "One More Soul to the Call" on Homecoming and "Always on My Mind" on Shattered Memories] are in FLAC.

"One More Soul to the Call" and "Always on My Mind" are WAV files. When I tried ripping these two tracks as FLAC, they came out distorted. I’ve tried re-ripping them several times. They continued to sound bad. But the WAV versions came out great. So I included them instead. Sorry about that. I have checked the rest of the FLAC songs. They came out great as well. For some weird reason, only those two vocal tracks just refused to convert over properly.

**Remember, if any of the other tracks sound bad or don’t sound right, tell me and I will see what I can do.** I can create links to MP3 versions too if no one is able to. But that’ll need a few more days for that to happen.

Nope. All the same. I’m kind of torn on that: Part of me wanted them to be remastered to further justify spending all that money on stuff I mostly already own, but another part of me was thinking, "Remastered? Ludicrous! They sound great as they are!"

The Homecoming OST and extras disc make it sort of worth the purchase, though. The Homecoming soundtrack sounds so much better now: slightly different mixes, better sound quality (likely sourced from original masters). It’s the soundtrack the game should have had to begin with. I’m just puzzled why the box doesn’t include the original version of "Alex Theme". Yamaoka’s MACHINE HEAD remix is better, definitely, but throwing away the original is kind of bogus.

Also could have used the exclusive tracks from Robbie Tracks, SH3 Special Mini Sound Track, the US promotional SH4 soundtrack, as well as other previously unreleased stuff to make the set more complete. The extras disc is super nice, though: sounds really cohesive, and I LOVELOVELOVE "Recorder 2007" at the very end, ha ha.

The DVD is a complete waste. Instead of putting cool stuff on there in high quality like the music videos, it’s just worthless game trailers, and not even the cooler trailers like what SH4 had. Actually, I don’t even know if there are other music videos beyond "You’re Not Here"… I seem to recall one for SH4, but I could be mistaken. Still, "You’re Not Here" vid would’ve been awesome, maybe throw in the video for Yamaoka’s "iFUTURELIST"—you know, cool things. Instead I’m stuck watching bad YouTube uploads of ’em, ha. The Robbie promo video should be on there too…and the song from the video should be on one of the CDs, ha.

Oh, well. :p Nothing’s ever perfect.

Speaking of Robbie Tracks… Anybody have high quality rips of that? All I’ve found are WMAs and 128kbps MP3s, though I have yet to peruse all posts on this thread.

Edit: OK, so I just noticed there are 192kbps Robbie files on the second page, heh. 192’s fine by my ears, but it would be awesome to have ’em much higher quality as well.

Well looks like the ISO disc is region 2 encoded so it will not play on my drive without special software or drive hacking. 🙁
Since first set of links contain the VOB files I assume they also are encoded with the same region. Like most of you I usually don’t download dvds…I rent or buy them. Any helpful suggestions will be appreciated.

Edit: after reading Abnormal Freak’s comments I think I will just enjoy the music and pass on the dvd…just wish I had known about the region thing.

It’s just a shame they waste a perfectly good DVD on crap. :p The SH4 trailer has a pretty freaky bit toward the end. The intro of the game pretty much plays the same thing, but omits the final part.

The complete dvd was compressed to an ISO image which can be burned to dvd using most burning sofware. I used MagicISO to bun it but would not play for me because the original was made with region 2 encoding. (Europe (except Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus), Middle East, Egypt, Japan, South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Greenland)

If the ripper would use DVD Decrypter it would remove the region protection code from the files.
I have a lot of original japanese dvds (Region 2), and use that program to back them up.
Also ISO is not a compressed archive like .zip/.rar files, it’s just a container format, nothing is compressed.

Well SB has now been down for nearly a week which isn’t good. I sure hope they don’t give up like shareonall did a couple of years ago which made all of their "master links" dead. Yeah I need to do that I remember when I would upload it two times but never copied the links, looks like I am kicking myself for not doing it. I’ve used two websites that say they are the best file distributor sharebee and massmirror and both lose files like a bad case of amnesia.

I have used several multi-uploaders over the last few years and I’ve noticed usually only two hosts’ links are still active after 60 days…Megaupload and Rapidshare. RS pretty have shot themselves in the foot by treating their customers like dirt and mass-deleting there files. In my view if you want to keep working links that can last for years is to use Megaupload and code the link(s) so they are not "live".

The best I have on that front is a 192kbps of the song, but with Silent Hill music I always try my best to get the highest quality versions I personally find, so while not sure if there is a higher quality version, we can hope. The length is simply since the song loops at that point.

Actually he ripped them from other rippers. I just looked at his SH2 track lists, and they are collected from prior "complete" rips done by others. You can find these tracks on Silent Hill Memories.

At any rate, I do plan on doing SH4, I just need to get a copy of the PC version to check for sound quality.

Looking forward to it! SH2 has some standout tracks to me, but I think SH4 is my favorite OST all around. The BGM and everything was a bit different than the banging/loud noises kind of thing going on in the others. Loved SH4’s music.

@Onikaze, Yeah the SH4 premium disc is nothing more than a three track must have for obsessed SH collector’s only. 😉
Sorry it’s taking so long getting these last three shares up-loaded but I have a really crappy internet connection at the moment. I am switching ISP’s sometime in the next week and then it will be fast as most members here.

You need to update to the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, after that the download should countdown to 99% hesitate then your browser’s download manager should come up and prompt you to save the file to your computer.

Actually he ripped them from other rippers. I just looked at his SH2 track lists, and they are collected from prior "complete" rips done by others. You can find these tracks on Silent Hill Memories.

At any rate, I do plan on doing SH4, I just need to get a copy of the PC version to check for sound quality.
It seems FirebrandX was going to work on a complete 145 track rip. A lot of the official OST’s on the first page omit a lot of the BGM from the game.

PSA: Been getting emails about the MEGA links asking for encryption keys…

The links I’ve posted include the keys however, when you click them somehow the key is lost in the redirection…

A work around has been to "copy link location," paste, and delete "%20%20" or any BLANK spaces in the url.
Or click on the link as normal, look at the url & make sure there are no spaces or "%20%20"

Anyone know a more permanent fix or what’s causing it??
