Thunderbugs

My guide says Thunderbugs are supposed to be in the Henne mines. But I’ve searched all over and I can only find Nightmares and Red Maws. If you poach Thunderbugs you get a certain loot item that helps you get the finally axe. BUt I cant find any thunderbugs, so I was wondering if you guys know how.

Hmm. If I’m not mistaken, I think those show up if you open certain trapped treasures.

Yeah, I think thunderbugs are those fake-out treasure pots.

I think they only appear in optional parts of the mines which you can reach later in the game from the Feywood. Bear in mind that going there involves fighting some very high-level enemies, though.

Dont know if this is freakishly outdated or not, but I found thunderbugs easily in Henne Mines.

Go warp to Henne Mines using the Warp Crystal. Take the path back into the room that heads towards the beginning, you should see a few fake chests in a hallowed out corner, and if you try to open them, you got your thunderbugs right there. If you get nothing, zone out two areas, then come back and they’ll be there. Its only two Thunderbugs, but its better than one. 😉

But personally, I’ve gotten the Scorpion Tail, and its definitely not worth all the trouble….stupid Skulwyrms wouldn’t drop wyrm bones….The damage for hammers/axes are high erratic and random. I’d stick with trying to get the more powerful weapons like Tournesol, Excalibur, and Ultima Blade. Good luck!

omg you arethe best i was about to post agin about how i couldnt find any yet and read your advice, your da best.
ps I found a random pandora in the hall of engujent light( or something like that) in the necrohol of nabudis, its in the the very top area of that section in a secret room, near the secret shop.
