Ah, Simon you should check out the 360 once the shmups start coming out on it (Treasure is dropping Ikaruga on it and supposedly has a new shooter in the works). Where ever you’re from I bet you’ll get better shooter support than the US does anyways (if it’s not Halo 3 the game industry over here pretty much ignores it 🙁 ). I’ll basically take any system I can get my hands on that supports shooters but, I really like the idea of Xbox Live because you can play online with your friends (all over the world too =) ), they support leader boards/high scores etc., it’s just a great step in being able to connect to people w/similar interests…so we can all hopefully keep this genre alive.

about the new treasure XBLA, i had some news today, it will probably Radiant Silvergun (release for the saturn in 1998) with enhancer graphics, a "NAOMI" 3D graphics style in a 2D gameplay (as the ikaruga) will be much appreciated ^^

I really like the idea of Xbox Live because you can play online with your friends (all over the world too )sure, that’s great, i used "KAILLERA" that is some servers for a coop play with mame (like XBLA) but the latence break the fun in shmups, but the Beat’em all/up games are wonderfull^^
cadillac&dinausor 3P, dungeons&dragons 4P, turtles 4P, sunset riders 4P or metal slug ^^.
very good experience.

we can all hopefully keep this genre alive. it’s like reggae!

Yeah. In a recent interview, Treasure said they planned on releasing RSG on XBLA with enhanced graphics and gameplay to "make it look more modern". Should be sweet.
