Hello all,

I recently got the soundtrack CD that had some of the unreleased tracks, and I was wondering: Where does the song "Kuja 5" play game-wise?

Thank you for your time.

My guess is that cinema scene when Kuja leaves Burmecia on his Silver Dragon, end of disc 1, right after Beatrix finishes wiping the floor with your characters.

Err, then again, if it’s an unreleased track, then it probably wasn’t even used in-game; that’s what would make it an unreleased track, the keyword there being "unreleased."

I agree. ^

It probably wasn’t used in the game as it was an unreleased track.

Nope, the tracked played there is called "Kuja leaves Burmecia." I’m figuring it’s when Zidane confronts Kuja one last time at the Iifa tree in order to come to terms. I say this because Kuja 5 is a lot more…benevolent a version of his typical theme.

As to it being unreleased, that doesn’t mean that it wasn’t on the game itself. That just means that it wasn’t released on the official soundtrack cds.

It doesn’t play during the game. That’s why it is called an unreleased track.

It’s just a version of Kuja’s theme, like Mediterrana is a version of The Place I’ll return to someday.

BTW, these themes ARE INDEED on the official OST.

Actually those songs aren’t on the original OST, that was a collection of the various music that was played during the game, for the most part.

The music I’ve been referring too was on "Final Fantasy IX Original Soundtrack PLUS"

So if you wish to get technical name-wise you’re almost right.

As for it being on the game, you could be right, but tracks such as "Eiko descends" or "Escaping Terra" were both on the game and they were considered unreleased. So it could be that it means that 1. it was on that game but not on the chronologically original soundtrack or 2. it wasn’t on the game or the soundtrack, but was made anyways.

I actually just checked my soundtracks, and the track does indeed appear on "Final Fantasy IX Original Soundtrack PLUS".

I just heard the track, and I actually do think it appeared in the game, I just can’t place it right now.

The OST Plus is the collection of every orchestral musics that are in the game, thus are part of the original soundtrack. But, included with them are unreleased tracks. But "Eiko Descends" and "Escaping Terra" ARE NOT considered to be unreleased tracks like the last few ones on that album. As I said before, these few tracks are mix of the original themes and are NOT in the game.

Ah, that’s what I wasn’t certain about, but it makes sense.

A shame though really, some of the unreleased tracks would have been nice additions to certain parts of the game.

I appreciate the input
