Thanks!
Edit: The dance was complete and utter shit. But I am still taking suggestions for myself.
like Music or Hung Up, they get the masses on their feetz
Robert Nickson’s remix of Jose Amnesia’s "Louder" was very well recieved when our school had a dance. Have the MP3 if you want it; send me a PM.
Hot Chip – Over And Over
Daft Punk – Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
^_^
Alright, I’ll take a listen to the other ones, as well. Keep ’em coming!
Also, I don’t think "And the Beat Goes On" was made by Michael Jackson. Unless you were just referring to the other 2 songs.
I’m thinking I might have to put Thriller on there though just to see if anyone at my school knows the dance (or at least the song).
Other recommendations:
"1999" – Cassius
"Voyager" – Daft Punk
"Chillin’" – Modjo
"High Life" – Daft Punk
"Red Alert" – Basement Jaxx
"Belo Horizonti" – The Heartists
"Back to Basics (Main Vocal Mix)" – Shapeshifters (here in the states, they’re known as Shape:UK)
And Zenigata: Woah- that’s a nice list! All of them are perfect!
Edit: All you have to do is download and unzip it, and voila! I hope you enjoy it. Do tell me what you think when you’ve listened to it.

anywayI don’t like the name either, but whadaya gonna do?
At least the music sounds good IMO.
I just got back, and all that they played was shit you’ll hear on MTV/ VH1- Justin Timberlake, The Jonas Brothers, some other bands I don’t care to list. They played like 2 MJ songs. No Grace Jones. No Daft Punk (except that shitty slow rap remix of "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger"). Nothing.
Ah well, I’m never going to a school dance again. Though I am still taking music suggestions for me to listen to.

Ah well, I’m never going to a school dance again. Though I am still taking music suggestions for me to listen to.Yeah, that’s pretty much the reason why I never went to any dances in High School.
They never play anything we (my friends and I) like, and it’s pretty much what you would hear on MTV or during that time the repetitive, loud thumpin’, fast paced, extacy rave, Deep House bullshit.
err.. deep house is pretty minimal, mostly influenced by jazz/soul and rarely clocked over 120bpm
you probably had the missfortune of listening to hard house
you probably had the missfortune of listening to hard houseIt is? :eye:
I thought the Jazzy/Soul type house was Groove, or Electronica? ’cause that’s the type I actually like listening to.
Armin Van Buuren
DJ Tiesto
Paul Oakenfold
Paul Van Dyk
The middle two have wide discographies, but the first and fourth, not so much.
Of course, chances’re are that, if you’re really into techno/trance, you’ve probably already heard of these.
Me, I’m more into lounge jazz-based, groove/electronica, such artists as, album names following in italics,
De-Phazz – Daily Lama, Death by Chocolate, Detunized Gravity
Koop – Waltz for Koop, Waltz for Koop (Alternate Takes), Sons of Koop, Koop Islands
St. Germain – Boulevard, Tourist
They’re super, sexy, super-sexy, and on some albums, out-of-print. But those are only going to interest you if you’re interested in "artsy" jazz/electronica. De-Phazz is able to make anything sound sexy. Like being on the internet, for example.
Sites like Amazon or even Circuit City.com offer audio album music clip samples for these.

i dont rly know what "Groove" or "Electronica" rly embodies but i think your probably referring to more Progressive/Deep House
wich is indeed the good stuff
ot: if ye rly wanna learn to dance just try and get into the basic foundations and stuff, dont get into that step by step robot maniac stuff the walt disney corp funded with spears and timberlake
good stuff i just found recently thx to the japanese clock website -> http://www.uniqlo.jp/uniqlock/
Japanese guy that mostly produces rly funky house with allota bossa nova influences
really playfull and has a deep nostalgic feel sometimes
official site http://www.fpmnet.com/english/index.html
ye can find 3 albums and some remix work here http://aal.fnc.ru/portal/music/The%20Fantastic%20Plastic%20Machine/
if anyone here is a fan and has some other work of him do share plz
Unfortunately, most people think indistinguishable lyrics are fashionable, that "being pimp" or "gasgsta" or "ghetto" are admirable traits, and rap vocals just sound like they’re talking rhythmically. If you ask me, that’s just not music.
It’s because I don’t care for the vocal style, lyrics, subject matter, or the vocalist(s) themselves, that rap music, more often than not, strikes out with me.
in the words of Prak
Oh geez. More of this bullshit theorizing? Schwarzer, you were racking up some cool points, but now they’re starting to disappear.
Cannibal Ox, De La Soul, Combat Wombat, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Pedestrian, Manau, Cage, The Pharcyde, Quasimoto, Thavius Beck, and RJD2.

sadly as my personal taste, i strongly dislike K-pop
and not a fan of J-pop, but i prefer J-pop 2x much better quality than K-pop. both performer and music
