1. I noticed the Celsius looked strikingly familiar from the outside the first time I played, and then realized the from the outside it looks almost identical to the Ragnarok from VIII. Anyone know if this was intentional? I mean, parts of the inside are similar as well.

2. I remember reading somewhere (I forget where exactly) that Cid’s ship in X was called "Fahrenheit", hence the name Celsius here, but I don’t recall that being mentioned in the game. If it is, when is it mentioned? And if it isn’t, is it even true and if its true where is this official information from?

1. The two look somewhat similar, but they definitely don’t look anywhere near identical. Here’s the Ragnarok:

And here’s the Celsius:

If you ask me, the Ragnarok looks rather more "streamlined" and the Celsius somewhat more spread out.

2. You may have read the "Fahrenheit" name recently in either the General FF Rumble or in the thread discussing the power of the various airships. I was told that it comes from FFX’s Ultimania translation.

Actually I’m pretty sure the place I saw the Fahrenheit thing was not on this board.

But alright, the Celsius and the Ragnarok still do look exactly alike on the back, ne?

I’ll certainly give you that part. I think it’s mainly the heavy use of what seems to be pretty much exact-same color of red on both that makes them seem so alike.

I don’t think they ever referred to the airship as anything in FFX. But it is interesting to note that Cid is Yuna’s uncle, Rikku is his daughter, and Brother is his son. So Brother loves his cousin.

Like I said, it’s this "Ultimania Translation" thing. Apparently it’s the official guidebook and it refers to as Fahrenheit. It’s definitely real — I searched it on Google and found many references to the FFX airship as "Fahrenheit."

And yes, there’s been more than one comment before about how Brother loves his cousin. Well, I suppose it’s not unheard of…

It’s old news to me.

Fahrenheit was also the name of the airship in Bahamut Lagoon an old SE game for the SNES, just as another scrap of useless info

The Celsius was very much modeled after the chopper. Just look at the front…umm…wheelie thingies. You know what I mean? They don’t seem to serve any purpose except to make the ship look bad-ass.
