ppl likes FFix coz it’s mild humor.. so whats yer funniest scene… 4 me it;s when baku drops the letter 4 zidane then Steiner & Beatrix comes … there;s blank hidin’ with bleedin nose Marcus.. man i laughed all night long…wakaka

My favorite scene is when you reach Terra, and Eiko tries to ask Mikoto where Zidane went, but she’s ignored and when Mikoto walks away she says, "Ugh, what a bimbo!" 🙂

The simple hilarity of the love letter sequence gets me every time. ^_^

Eiko is always good for a laugh, and Quina is reason enough to laugh. The entire game wasn’t as dark as the last two, and it had more humor than the painfully tense FFVIII (I don’t think I laughed a singled time during this game).

Tell me you at least chuckled when Seifer (on their way to the first mission, Dollet?) said:

"This is great… I have Chicken-wuss and a guy who just reached
puberty in my squad…"

I laughed harder at Squall’s "I dreamt I was a moron" line.

As for FF9, the random botch-ups in the opening kidnapping make me laugh. Like, Steiner ramming headfirst into the wall, and Garnet crashing through the roof on top of Zidane, and then the messed-up play…

The "Crime and Punishment" ATE is also good for laughs. 😛

There’s a line of Eiko’s that makes me laugh when she says it. It’s in Bran Bal when Mikoto asks where Eiko’s ‘man’ is and she replies with ‘My man – My man?! Even I never called him that’. Something like that.

The love letter was a good one, so was when Zidane grabbed Daggers butt and said "ohh, soft". Also right after that on the airship when Steiner runs in and tries to catch Zidane and he’s swingin around on his tail…I thought that was good!

The love letter scene, and almost any scene with Quina in. I would say Eiko’s scenes too, but she was more annoying than funny.

I played this when I was like 10 or 11, but one of the funniest scenes to me was when Quina and Vivi get married, and Vivi is seriously creeped out.

That was a nice area Conde Petie, for the type of people it bore.

One good one is Quina trying to eat the chocobo egg in Black Mage Village and the Number XXX and XXX are running around with it trying to stop Quina? I don’t remember exactly how they were going about it.

It just rang a bell because I had a hard time understanding the music/track option in the Inn of Black Mage Village with the paintings and changing it by looking at the paintings or talking to the innkeeper or something.

funniest scene is the ATE in which Quina is mistaken for a monster and the guards are like: "Is it dead?" Then she wakes up and scares them off!

I like it when Steiner is Mad on Zidane because he keeps on jumping that makes such funny noise.. lol

LoL I reckon the funniest scene is right at the start where Garnet and Zidane rope-swing across the Tantalus, the Steiner tries and crashes head-first into the wall!

Got to it before I did. The butt grab always has me rolling. The Quina/Vivi marriage is another favorite of mine.

people are forgetting the cloud crossdressing scene from FF7. He’s emo, and dressed like a woman, hardly get’s better then that.

I loved the relationships between the characters. Particularly Zidane and anyone minus Amarant and Freya.

Quina’s determination to eat as many different things as possible was a class act for me too.

So many scenes in IX made me laugh or, at the very least, smile. Some that come to mind are:

-The entire opening play
-Quina and Vivi getting married
-When Eiko’s wings got stuck on something in Alexandria castle and her discussion with Baku afterwards.
-Parts of Garnet’s escape.
-Quina’s never ending love for frogs and food.

The slew of love letters sequence, easily — and many of the associated scenes leading up to it. Can’t believe nobody’s mentioned it!

Also…

Freya: Zidane! The heat is going to kill the engine if we get any closer!
Zidane: Okay… When we get closer to the volcano, you two head to the shrine’s entrance.
Amarant: …Why do I have to go with her?
Zidane: Oh, sorry. Did you want to go with Eiko?

And yes, many of the sequences involving Quina.

Just about everything in FF9 is funny 😀 Not sure about the funniest but any part with Steiner and Zidane, and the moogles were pretty hilarious in a cute way…

BTW — pretty much anything related to Baku was funny, especially some of the item descriptions with his comments, i.e. "Remember that candy guy who gave us this item? Or was he a horn? I forget! Bwa ha ha ha ha!"

Baku`s laugh… And things with Eiko. Childish way of ‘loving’ a guy who`s a bit too old for her, some parts with Steiner were quite funny as well, especially where everyone in the team knew that what Brahne is doing is wrong, but he still claimed that she`s doing what`s right.
Kuja was funny in his own way too. To me, personally, he`s a bit gayish. Or to be more precise – girlish.

Best scenes are when steiner is involved, his moody attitude towards Zidane is brilliant.

I love all the scenes where Zidane makes comments like:

– "Come on Rusty, lighten up!"
– "Waddaya say, Rusty, friends?"

Since the first time I played, I’ve always laughed at the noise Steiner makes when he runs!

I do like the scene on the Blue Narciss where Quina sees Cid as a frog and is like:

– "F-Frog… is talking… maybe I eat it?"
