Gold chocobos are overrated, not even over average MPG standards.

I couldn’t give a hoot about MPG. Travel by gold chocobo may be a bit slower than any airship, but for me it’s more fun.

Yeah, the chocobo music is quite the cruising music.

I totally agree with this post. I’d much rather ride a Chocobo than any ship. x)

You can see Zidane’s tail ticking in time to the music when you ride the Gold Choco. That alone makes is THE preferred method of travel in FF9.

Invincible is cool, yes, but the HGIII defnitely has music to die for over the Invincible. I could leave that thing just sitting there flying for hours just to listen to the music. 😛

chocobo music better

Well it is the only airship you can explore on the inside and control, so it is more important in my opinion then the other airships. no method of transportation is better then an airship. Even though I do prefer a gold chocobo for flying, they can only land in forests. If I remember right the invincible can land just about anywhere.

What are you talking about? You can go on-board / inside the Hilda Garde III.

And yes, it’s true the flying chocobo could only land in forests, but it was a limitation I soon learned to live with — there were plenty of forests in FFIX, so it was unusual for there to be not be one at least reasonably close where you wanted to go.

If it hasn’t been done, I think we need to do a Transportation version of the General FF Rumble, Agent.

You may be onto something there, but… while there’s no record of it having been done, something’s telling me that it may have taken place and been lost during the period that was lost to the forum hack a while back. Either that, or it’s been avoided in the past because everyone thinks it would be a cakewalk for FFVIII’s Ragnarok. I wish I had a kept a record somewhere of my hard drive of what took place in those rumbles. Hmm…

P.S.: Here’s (Thread 12615) the page where the vehicles idea was discussed and discarded. Seeing as I really can’t remember if in fact it was done or not during that "lost period," you’re welcome to suggest it, though.
