The Useless

Which dresspheres did you find the most useless? Which ones did you use/like the least?

Mine:
Samurai – I thought it seemed like a slower version of the warrior.
Trainer – The animals were cute, but… not very good.
Black Mage – The warrior dressphere learned elemental attacks, and had the normal attack action on its menu, instead of just elementals.

Samurai — I have to disagree with you there. Mostly because I found several of its special abilities to be quite useful, particularly Fireworks and Sparkler.

The other two I will give you easily, particularly Black Mage — I hardly ever used it at all.

Other than that — the special dresspheres in general — I never really used them that much.

Until you get the Magical Dances Volumes, Songstress. I like my status boosts and inflictions to actually last a while, not just while she’s dancing.

I rarely used the Berserker. Counterattack, Magic Counter, and Evade & Counter required way too much AP than they’re worth imo, and I almost never berserk my characters, just in case something goes wrong.

And of course the Trainer, as well as the special dresspheres (Triple HP + Break HP Limit?)

I’d also like to disagree on the Samurai. Fireworks, No Fear, Mirror Of Equity, Fingersnap, and Hayate are all really good in my opinion. Although it was a bit slower than the warrior, I think it surpassed the warrior by its basis of great abilities.

I disagree on the Samurai, I found it to be quite good. But Trainer and Black Mage, and also Songstress imo, were absolutely good for nothing.

I’m actually using the Songstress Dressphere quite a bit in my current game, I’m trying to use ones that I generally haven’t in the past and Songstress has been quite handy, especially in battles against human opponents as they’re commonly susceptible to Blindness.

I will agree with you on Samurai, as well as Warrior, since those two seem to be lesser versions of the Dark Knight (whose slowness can be cured with Auto-Haste).

The most useless dressphere I would have to say was Alchemist, as I rarely used it except for the Mega-Potion ability, which took hours to learn

Oh yeah, Songstress I didn’t really like at first either, but if you use it properly, it can really help you out.

I disagree with the Alchemist being a useless dress sphere. Its abilities were amazing like Items Lvl. 2.

I hardly ever used the Samurai dress sphere. Why go for a mediocre class when you could get something more powerful? Same deal with the trainer and special dress spheres.

I’m not saying Alchemist was completely useless, but it was rarely used by myself after getting stronger dresspheres.

Also, using the Samurai dressphere. I didn’t get Black Knight until my 2nd time through the game, so Samurai proved very useful, especially in defeating tough bosses such as the Salamander type boss from the Thunder Plains just before the concert (can’t remember it’s name)

It was the Zalamander — like you said, big salamander boss, but with a "Z" at the start.

all you guy are way off theif was worthless, gaining all that AP so you cn steal HP, why the fuck would I steal HP? and then you have to change dress spheres to steal something, and your success is not guaranteed.

Trainer. Trainer sucked.
