This 2-CD set has been out of print for quite a while now, and it’s not listed anywhere on Galbadia Hotel’s website. Known in the U.S. as The Devil Lady, this horror-thriller series about a fragile young woman who finds that she can change into a monstrous demon (duh!) has a dark, moody soundtrack. The title theme, a sort of Gothic march/chant in the style of Carl Orff’s "Carmine Burmina" and Jerry Goldsmith’s score to The Omen, sets the tone for a melancholy orchestral score that seldom lets up. Great stuff, especially for Halloween.
