I’m not worried at the moment, but in the long run, do any of you think us PS3 and/or Wii owners should be worried?

I’m not worried, simply ’cause I never cared for online play on consoles except for GT5.

Oh noes! D=
Then again, I wouldn’t bother with buying that browser cartridge for my DS.
Also, I’m too lazy to spend on XboxLive! anyway, so screw it.

Makes you wonder if Symantec is in any way affiliated with Microsoft. Granted, I’m sure all the systems have potential vulnerabilities. Phisihing, if I understand the term correctly, is pretty easy to avoid if you keep an eye out. Either way, I imagine it’d be pretty easy to send over some sort of virus scan program to Wii and PS3 consoles.

I would never be worried because I dont’ play online games, but you never know what could happen since it’s a browser. So there is a little bit of worry there cuz i will never buy a xbox360, i plan on buying the other 2 though, oh well just gotta be careful

I rarely play online games via consoles, because of my nemesis, internet lag.

Symantec CEO John Thomspon drinks deeply from the Microsoft well. In fact, three-quarters of his companys $5.2 billion in revenue last year was derived from the Windows platform.
I’d say that is a pretty safe bet.

I doubt you could get a virus on your console through playing online games because If this were true nintendo and sony would have to offer anti-virus software for their consoles.
However if your using the web browser on anything then it is quite posible to pick up a virus. And no I don’t think we should be worried in the long run because it will be up to the companies to sort out the problem.
