Hey there, everyone! First time contributor, long time lurker Malfaisant reporting!

For a long time, I’ve searched the internet for Drill Dozer music, but as many of you have discovered, the soundtrack is almost completely non-existent.

I had enough. So I took matters into my own hands…

I recorded my favourite songs from the Sound Test by plugging my DS directly to my laptop using a line-in cable and recording the music with Audacity.

The end result? My first music ripping experience!

But now I want to share these songs with you, since many of you (like me) love the music and would love hearing some of this on your iPod.

So, without further adieu…

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=A1EIUUNM

Keep in mind that THIS IS NOT THE WHOLE SOUNDTRACK! This is just some of what I consider to be the best songs in the game.

The songs included are…

~ Skullker Hideout – The first stage in the game
~ Gear Get! – 2nd Gear! 3rd Gear! Hooray!
~ Drill Missile – The second last stage
~ Third Gear! – Self explanatory…^_^
~ Battle! VS Big Boss – Not a mini boss, that’s for sure…
~ The Doom Dozer – The last stage!
~ Final Battle! VS Croog – Where Jill demonstrates her power…
~ Good Suff! – Got a new drill part, Continue, etc.
~ The End ~ Staff Roll – The really long credits sequence

I even added those little tag thingies so you can easily find them in your music library.

So there you go. Thanks for visiting, and have a wonderful day!

Nice soundtrack. The tracks are a bit short though, but otherwise it would get very loopy I guess. Well, thanks for the upload.

Also, I’ve given the file an extra mirror for ya:

Does anyone have plans to do a full gamerip? I liked most of this game’s music.

Yes, that worked out pretty well! I ripped the wavs early this morning and I’m currently trimming them up and adding fades to the end so they sound better. What format should I encode them in after I’m finished?

EDIT: The filenames are currently their number in the sound test; if anyone would like to go through and connect names to numbers, that’d be awesome.

EDIT2: Due to technical difficulty (browser lockup), I can’t seem to use megaupload or mediafire, so I’m using a different upload service. If anyone would like to mirror the OST to another filesharing service, that’d be great. I’ve decided to release it in 2 formats: OGG and FLAC. If you want something else, you can convert from the FLACs since they’re lossless.

OGG format (http://bb.xieke.com/files/Drill%20Dozer%20OST%20%5Bogg%5D.zip)

FLAC format (http://rapidshare.com/files/312234763/Drill_Dozer_OST__flac_.zip.html) (maximum of 10 downloads before it goes down, so don’t download if you don’t plan on mirroring!)

WARNING: I only ripped the BGM. That means not all 46 background tracks are present; the ones that weren’t included were item or event jingles. So it’s complete, but only the real background music.
