So im listening to an online radio. and these heavy metalists sound very…uh, angry. Lol I was wondering if they have all sold their souls to the devil? like pantera, disturbed, rob zombie, lamb of god, marylin manson, etc.

He’s not fucked up! That wiki page is mostly slander that comes straight from the conservative Norwegian press, which did everything it could to put Varg in jail.

It still doesn’t take away from the fact that Varg was a douche bag, burned down a few churches, tried getting other people to do the same, and once again made metal seem like it was "truly evil".

Metal can be angry, it can be sorrowful, happy, upbeat, evil and majestic.
There’s to it than just "DEVIL WORSHIPPING HATE MACHINES" stereotypes.

Regardless of how "heavy" anybody is, metal is still music. There’s nothing "evil" about a band playing harmoniously.

Honestly, I was never a fan of Burzum either. I felt it was just a guy squalling into a microphone while while a guitar just drags along with the same two drum beats. It was creative, but it didn’t sound like music to me. It just sounded like a guy being tortured in the woods of Norway. And I’m not gonna lie, I’ve not actually heard of J�rn Inge Tunsberg. So feel free to attack at any moment. 😀

oh. have you heard all of the Burzum albums? they’re very different from each other, just to let you know^_^

but ok, J�rn got a sentence and was in prison for burning �sane church in 1992 with Varg. he have played in Old Funeral, a short period for Immortal, Hades/Hades Almighty. but he still seem like a nice person, and i think he is.

I’ve heard the first Burzum album, I think it was the first one, not sure though. But it was more annoying to me, than anything, it sounded like a horror movie track than anything. And now that you mention Old Funeral, yeah, I’ve heard of him. I’ve never listened to Old Funeral, but yeah, I remember J�rn now.

And about your English, Just capitalize the first letter of each sentence, and you should be alright.

well.. you should try to listen to the album in the order they came and give "Burzum/Aske" (which is a compilation with the first album and EP) a shot, don’t only listen to it once, but give it a chance and maybe listen to it 4-5 times. and then "Det Som Engang Var", -> "Hvis Lyset Tar Oss", and the last one, "Filosofem". you can hear that they don’t sound too much like eatch other, and you can hear how good he bacame as a songwriter. and you can check out "Dau�i Baldrs" and "Hli�skj�lf" if you like ambient because they’re ok, but you should give the different Burzum albums a chance if you like black metal^__^

Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath are considered the founding fathers of metal… and then it branches off and various bands come to life.. and now today they’re only posers of the real deal…(examples of the real deal: Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, KISS, Van Halen, Dio, Metallica, Guns ‘N’ Roses, etc…)

Just because you don’t like a particular genre of metal does not mean that they’re metal poseurs. Most of these bands you’re listed aren’t pure metal, either, but have large if not dominating hard rock influences.
