JUst Finished The Game Again..Interesting Question….

So I just played through and beat it for the third time, this time with my girlfriend. She had a great time, and it took us about 70 hours, what with doing some of the fun sidequests and so forth.

So Auron is unsent, and is thus made of the pyreflies, and Tidus is a dream, so is also composed pyre flies, correct?

So when Yuna performs any sending, they should both be vulnerable to it, correct? The game seems to infer that only Auron is affected, while Tidus remains whole, even when well within range of Yuna’s sending.

This could be discounted by calling Tidus a sort of "summon," because, like the Aeons, he manifests a physical body because of the Fayth and, like Aeons, cannot be sent.

I understand how, at the end, it’s dramatically interesting to have Tidus fly off the side of the ship and meet up with all those dead folks, such as his father and Braska….however….if Tidus and Jecht were both "dreams," of the fayth, or summons, and cannot sent (as demonstrated by Tidus’ proximity to Yuna during her sendings), then why the fuck are they on the farplane?

I’d love to hear some ideas on this one.

Auron had already been killed, but was never sent, hence his reason for never wanting to attend a Sending so that he could see that his duty was fulfilled.

Tidus, on the other hand was a dream of the Fayth. A dream that was being produced from not only the Fayth, but Sin and at the heart Yu Yevon.

So when Sin and Yu Yevon were destroyed, the Fayth were put to rest as well and the energy that gave life to Tidus ceased.

For the majority, I believe that is correct.

yes, but Tidus was composed of pyreflies.

Which is why I think it’s a gap in the plot that he never started to decompose when yuna did sending, as what she sends are in fact pyreflies.

I thought he did get sent. I remember him peacefully flying away and giving Jecht a high-five.

The Fayth told Tidus, that he would dissapear after everything was over. While Yuna was performing the sending, it was not over yet, as the Fayth of the aeons were not yet sent ya? Dont forget that Tidus was near another sending before, and was not affected.
After Yuna finished the sending, the Fayth stopped dreaming, therefore the Dream Zanakard started to dissapeare and Tidus with it. At the end, Tidus reached the farplace, as he couldnt stay on Spira anymore (I guess he turned in a spirit form)
