Aurora was a band that existed for several years, but they weren’t very active and unfortunately they released only very little in that period.
Although most other visual kei bands around this time opted for a look with lots of vinyl, leather, white painted faces with dramatic make-up and colorful hairstyles, Aurora stood out starkly against the rest, wearing white/greenish make-up and clothes looked like a bunch of white or green rags.
It made the band members look almost unearthly, like fairy-tale creatures such as forest elves.
Their music fits with their appearance perfectly. A number of their songs, which are rock although not very heavy, have a very nice breathy atmosphere to them, which makes their songs sound very mysterious. The bass is very present in their songs and the vocalist had a wonderful velvety voice.
