Japanese VGM!

Please help me folks!

Can you good people advise me on which game or anime soundtracks have the best traditional Japanese music in them?

I mean like Okami, but more like that – Japanese flutes, drums, the monk crys, symbals, etc.

One of the most japanese are:
– Tenchu (japanese instrumental music pure)
– Rurouni Kenshin (some pop, but the most is japanese instrumental)
– Naruto (realy cool version of japanese instrumental)
– Akira ( the monk thing, realy good)
– Princess Mononoke
– Vampire Princess Miyu ( flutes..)
– Way of the Samurai (see tenchu)
– Onimusha (not sure, never listened)

ethnic music (other culture):
– Jade Cocoon ( indigenous, asian..)
– Arjuna ( indian, asian)
– Vision of Escaflowne ( many culture, chinese, middle eastern, latin)
– Suikoden Serie ( irish and otrher)

I’d also recommend the music from the game Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru(Psychic Killer Taromaru).

Actually, if you like Japanese wind pipes, Disgaea 2’s OST contains a lot due to a couple of characters being based on Ainu lineage. The rest of the OST is great too.

Speaking of Dis 2, anyone leak any of the Disgaea 3 OST yet. The game’s just about finished in Japan so there must be a couple of tracks completed.

Try homeworld 1-2 for tribal drum Indian middle eastern type stuff those osts are the closest things to that music in VGM you can get
