I need help in FFVIII

Okay, I just have a quick question. In the time-compressed world is there ANYWHERE you can go to buy items? I am looking for Remedies, and a lot of them (at LEAST 60, but I want more).

Also, I do not have Tonberry King, so I can’t use him…

If I can’t go anywhere, should I get Tonberry King and get his shop ability so I can buy Remedies, or should I restart from pre-Lunatic Pandora?

As far as I know. No. You need Tonberry King.

Actually, I’m pretty certain that if you completed the CC Group quest, then CC Joker should sell you items on the Ragnarok. However, I’m not 100% sure that he sells Remedies.

Really, though, there’s no reason not to get GF Tonberry.

Yeah, that would work too. If you don’t have Siren, I believe she’s drawable from the second boss in Ultimecia’s Castle, offhand. I know she’s drawable from one of them in there.

Yeah, your best bet is to get tonberry from the Centra ruins, get his call shop ability, the easiest way to get AP is probrably to go to cactuar island. each cactuar has got 20AP so within about 15 mins you can learn loads of stuff. thats what i did. i equipped 2 pre emptive abilities and magic junctioned to hit, usually one gets away but its still 40AP per battle!

I HATE IT WHEN THOSE LITTLE SHITS ESCAPED! I remember this one time when there were either 4 or 5 of them, Odin came out. I was so happy :D. Happened only once though (go figure).

hold down the escape buttons, Odin’s summon increases to 50% when you are in trouble i.e. entering a battle with low hp, or running from a series of battle.

When fighting Cactuars, I generally equip Initiative, plus the ability that increases the pre-emptive attack rate. And since they’re good at dodging, I have Selphie and her Strange Vision, which will pretty much always hit them, and Squall with Lionheart, of course. It really evens the odds against those suckers.

Squall has 255% hit rate anyway, so you don’t even need the Lionheart to make sure you hit them.

When I go Cactuar hunting, I equip Initiative and Alert on Irvine, who I keep in the yellow zone, then use Flame Shot. Two shots usually kills them.

Why didn’t you get Toneberry King?

ahhhh Lionheart, what a great limit skill, it never comes up when i want it! like when i fought omega i kept getting fated circle and blasting zone!

Zora.. I assume you need 60 remedies to get the remedy+ to summon doomtrain?

I remember doing that, getting the marlboro tentacles was a bitch, i equipped Squall with Mug so when some of the negative status effects wore off i could take his stash =D on the odd occasion I beat him but usually i just ran.
