Tech/Trance/Dub

What do people here think of these genres? Do you guys dig it? Most people where i live think they got over rated real quick. Therefore most people don’t respect them on principle. To tell the truth, i’ve always like these genres. Theres been some amazing beats come out of the european dub scene. Its made me some what of a closet fan.

Every now and then I’ll hear a good song through a friend or on the radio, but I rarely go out and download or try to get more well informed about who’s actually the artist, or get more well informed about the genre in general. People should make good recommendations here!

I tend to like Dub versions of specific songs, but I cannot stand Techno or Trance. To me, it’s nothing but an endless headache. And seriously, who listens to Techno at home? 🙁

i love dance music, and theres a lot of variety in the genre too so you’ll get everyone from chavs to fags listening to it. there is a lot of shite, such as hardcore, uk garage and commercial dance but i guess it depends on what makes you want to rave.

my favourite djs are erick morillo (he can work a crowd into a frenzy) fedde le grand, erol alkan, mylo, eddie halliwell, above and beyond, jules, askew, tall paul, armin van buuren, andy c, bukem, marky and fabio, and grooverider too. nice mix of house, electro, trance and drum n bass there.

I’m pretty big on house myself. Deep house is my favorite sub-genre.

I don’t like those trance songs where the artist keep on repeating the same thing over and over again. That’s annoying. I rather have trance/techno instrumental songs.
