Manhunt complete/condensed rip [MediaFire]

This is much more complete and accurate rip of the music from "Manhunt" than the one found on GH and elsewhere. Mine is an actual rip from the original game files [using MFAudio], not just a game recording.

Now, what I mean by "condensed" is that rather than put every second of the music tracks avaliable on the game files [more than six hours] I arranged the separate tracks from a level together in a way that makes sense. To illustrate, there are four tracks of music for each level — the base track, Suspicious, Aware, and Attack [If you’re reading this, I’m assuming you’re already familiar with how the game works]. Rather than put all four tracks together at full length, I instead made the music loop once: the first time through is the plain base track, then the second time is a combination of the other three.

It’d really be pretty boring to listen the full length for most of the tracks. This brings the total length to a little over three hours. Because of the nature of the tracks, some of the transitions [or lack of transitions] can be a little jarring, but since it’s already a creepy game, it really shouldn’t be a problem.

If requested, I can also put up the plain ambient music tracks without the louder tracks mixed in. Most of them are pretty chill. 🙂

I suppose I could, what I really meant was that I would post just the first tracks of the four, the main music from the level without the beats. It’s quite good creepy ambient music by its self.

I have the official soundtrack plus the rip someone posted some time ago.

I’m a little obsessive when it comes to Manhunt.

Yeah, it’s the same music. That torrent was posted by me a while ago. For example…

01_01 Born again
01_02 Born again (Suspicious)
01_03 Born again (Aware)
01_04 Born again (Attack)
01_05 Born again (Scene failed)
01_06 Born again (Scene completed)
…I’ve combined tracks 1-4 from each level into one track and left out the Scene Failed/Completed tracks because they were sort of redundant. They’re another thing I can post if there’s interest.

I did not include the remix tracks from the officially released album.

I can’t thank you enough for this, I’m a huge fan of the Manhunt soundtrack. One of the best in gaming history imho. Craig Conner did a fantastic job.

Hey, if you guys want the music in slightly different form, or like EVERY track from the game, I can probably do it. I only didn’t because most of the tracks get pretty boring at full length—the same loop over and over again—thus why I condensed it the way I did.

(P.S.: I’m also working on a rip for The Warriors right now, I had it before but a drive died on me so I had to do it again—this one takes a lot more effort.)

Well anything at all is appreciated but I realize how boring it can be so it’s entirely up to you.

Krymson. I dont think you are listening to the man, all the tracks are on this rip. The only tracks that are missing are (Scene completed & Scene Failed) that go on for about 5 seconds each. So your not missing much really.

If you want those tracks then i guess monkeygra could post them. But i really don’t see the point in posting ALL the tracks from the other rip, thats just a waste of time.

I can understand that. I was not being funny in anyway. I was just pointing out that there is no difference between the two rips. All the difference is that each track was split into 4 clips and looped twice making the track go on for 12 mins instead of 6 mins.

Damn, I love Manhunt. One of the creepiest, most atmospheric, and bad-ass games I’ve ever played. I got way into it…you really feel like you’re alone and being stalked through environments reeking of urban decay. BTW, Brian Cox as The Director ruled.

If I’m not mistaken, these tracks are roughly 2-3 minutes in length (judging by their size).

I really do appreciate your response, but I already have found that collection. It’s nice, very atmospheric but what I’m looking for are the ones that have all states of enemy awareness (suspicious, alert, etc). There are probably different versions but the ones i had were all around 7 minutes long. Each state’s music looped for a couple minutes and then the tension was heightened and another layer of music was added.

Somebody had posted them up on Youtube and that’s where I downloaded them from, but I had to reformat and when I went to get them again they had been removed. God damn ‘copyrights’, lol.

I guess if nobody can supply those tracks here, I’ll post up in the requests section. If I ever get a hold of them again, I’ll gladly repost them, perhaps even make a torrent and keep seeding it.

I remember getting that one, and it sucked big time. I (and I assume we) want the game rip, with all the different themes, such as suspicious or fight themes for the different levels.
