I recently just came across this soundtrack recently, and I figured that with the recent death of the composer, Kentaro Haneda, it would serve as a nice memoriam to distribute his legendary soundtrack for Macross.

Oh my, I had no idea Haneda passed away already.

Regardless, this is one sweet collection. I play a lot of retro Macross games and the soundtrack featured in the PS2 one takes a lot of the good stuff from this 3-disc set. And the music in here is from the series AND the movie, so it’s a great download.

This is a necropost, but just a heads up that either the files themselves or Megaupload is pushing a combination of a fake antivirus malware as well as a search redirect trojan. I caught it at the same time I started the download of the 1st OST file and I’ve killed off everything but the search redirect bug.
