So me and my anarchist friend prezelman want to make a flash game this summer. but, theres one problem, we dont really know how to go about doing it. So we look around on the internet for free downloadable software, because were cheap and dont want to actually buy it. Then we couldnt realy find any. So if any one knows something or some place for free stuff. It would be greatly appricaited.

Just get the 30-day demo from Adobe’s website.

Then search for the serial somewhere.

Try looking for torrents of the program.

As for tutorials on flash, google it.

i tihnk flash 5 and even mx (the versions i have) come with a built in tutorial. but i always get lost in the steps becasue i’m not familiar with the terminoligy or somethings it asks me to do something and that option is greyed out for some reason. (maybe forgot a step) either way. i’ve tried it twice now and still hate it. lol

good luck with that. i know that seeing tons of funny flash stuff on the net makes it look easy..but…idk. i think it isn’t. i made a little animation once. it was a miracle. lol. but a game? that requires action scripting i think. and that’s jst harder imo.

Well, not even necessary. Just get the 30 day demo (demo? more like shareware) and grab the serial from somewhere, and use the serial to activate it. Quick and painless.

I made two animutations: The two Revival of the Node movies on YouTube (Made using Flash 5 and exported to AVI). I have started work on the third one, but haven’t got far with it. It didn’t make any use of scripting at all, hence both uses some 100+ layers and ten of thousands of frames.

Agreed. You’re better off looking into using something easier, say, Klick ‘N’ Play.
