Not a lot of info yet but ~*~here it is~*~
Discuss.
EDIT: The levels have daytime/nightime/dusk/dawn now. Rad.
Also, I found this on the interwebs. *cough!-kubirio’s-1-minute-late-thread-cough!*
Ike, from FE. (http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/ike.html)
He is replacing either Marth or Roy, I don’t really know. I think both Marth and Roy are being removed from Brawl because they are old ~_~.
Okay this thread will probably fade away again but whatevs
I think if either of the two FE characters have to go, it would probably be Roy.
DK’s final smash looks interesting. Maybe a bit hectic in the larger stages.
Swedish Fish – US Release date confirmed as December 3rd.
Oh, and jamming during screen scrolls and such is something you might want to…think about. he means that if you use DK’s final smash on a stage that moves (like the Ice Climber’s stage in Melee) DK might lose a life since he is stationary during his final smash.
New update – Castle Siege, the Fire Emblem based level we saw in the trailer.
You start off on the castle roof. After a while it caves in and all characters fall inside the castle. It is then possible for the floor to crumble allowing fighters to fall into the underground. Looks like quite a nice level.
what is this malicious slander.
all we know is that he’s a newcomer. Marth and Roy could very well still be in brawl.
In my super awesome perfect way too big and missing a few characters roster Marth is still in it but Roy isn’t but Ike is. π

Yup, on my B-day of all days. If they do take out one of the FE characters, I’d want it to be Marth. To me, Roy was the better of the two, he could build up damage quicker than Marth. Also a good chunk of his sword attacks came with fire damage too and you don’t really have to be at a certain range to maximize the potential use of the character.
I’m glad that Mario’s moves are virtually unchanged so far, meaning I’ll have to improvise little, if not at all when transferring any combos or whatnot from SSB:M, to SSB:B.

Well, it’s just that they are so old and stuff that you’d think they’d replace them with newer FE characters. I think Marth will stay now, actually. He is sort of like the FE GUY, you know? I don’t think Roy stands a chance though.
Yeah, I believe Marth is one if the, if not the flagship character of the Fire Emblem series. It would feel a a bit awkward with him absent from the fighter roster. Roy, too, but perhaps to a lesser degree than Marth.
Really awesome update today imo. Single player looks like it could be pretty rad in Brawl
It is PRETTY DANG SWEET though.
Marth is hardly a flagship character for Fire Emblem though. Fire Emblem doesn’t really have a flagship character – it’s character distibution is very similar to Final Fantasy only there are a fair few more sequels but definitley not one major storyline I don’t believe.
It’s like saying Firion is the flagship Final Fantasy character: uh, no, not really.
Certainly the closest way to claim that is by popularity ala Pokemon’s Pikachu, and I think Fire Emblem’s clear flagship character is thus Sigurd.
Single player mode looks very interesting, it’s quite cool how there’s going to be some character development.
And at least Peach is confirmed now as well.
Eh, the combos could change a lot even if the moves are the same since the majority of useable combos in SSB were not intentionally put there by the creators. A lot of the time it has to do with very minute timing on the delay that moves have and if that stuff changes a little it could totally change what you can combo. But yeah, I’m sure some of it will stay the same.

GI: Have you been consulted at all for the usage of Link or Sheik or Ganondorf for Smash Bros. Brawl?
Aonuma: I’ve been working with Sakurai for a very long time with this new Smash Bros., because the Wii came out and when discussion for a new Smash Bros. took place nobody could think of anyone other than Sakurai working on it. He was kind of the default, and I was very happy to hear that he would be working on it. Actually, my designers did work on the designs for Sheik and Link and Ganondorf. So they submitted the initial designs, and so it would fit in the Smash Bros. Brawl environment, they’ve had to tweak some of the designs. But Sakurai has brought those altered designs to NCL. We’re working very closely with the team of Smash Bros. Brawl to make sure the characters look their best.
Just found it.
And there’s a new minor update on the site, if anyone were to care, Smoke Ball. I myself, think this item is somewhat useless but a nice extra…making the opponent not being able to see, though again, I don’t understand when they stated it if the opponent were to get in it, it would prove as a distraction. Oh well.
We get to play as the Pokemon Trainer now, but he doesn’t fight directly. Instead, he uses his pokemon.
What a cool update ^_^
Also Wattson, I would do that except I am now Neville for a while, then I will revert back to that purple ‘smashbot’ thing as everyone calls it.
Oh well, this is news though. I can’t wait to pwn people with a Squirtle. >w<
This is no time to get kidnapped.
That would take super smash to a whole new level π
You can’t play super smash alone.

Well, with some time and effort, Melee did have online. There was a link I recall somewhere in Nintendo’s official forums that demonstrated the process of making your Melee online. Of course, the interface is more of a debug thing, but nevertheless…Brawl Wi-fi (Which most likely should be), is going to be Teh hawtness. :3 Online tourneys will be a breeze!

As far as Wi-Fi play is concerned, both Iwata and Sakurai have expressed an interest in the incorporation of some functionality.[23][11] However, as stated in the Toukouken on the Japanese version of the Smash Bros. website, "there would be many hurdles to cross," and an online ranking system is unlikely to be implemented.
Hopefully these hurdles can be surmounted before the release, is all I can say. It’d certainly be a great feature to implement into the game surely.

I guess the item could be internecine, it could either be advantageous or not in some cases, because your opponent would either have trouble determining what attack you’re performing, or if you’re both in a thick area of smoke you’ll have difficulty seeing each other. Or perhaps if an opponent wanders into a thick patch of smoke, they’ll become dazed, and ergo "distracted", or maybe their controls will become temporarily scrambled.
Now, taking the controls, and actual dazed off into effect, then it surely is a great item, but if it simply just makes it more blind without any other effect, then it’s pretty much useless I believe.
I’m gonna love that stage. If you don’t believe me, check the site itself.
Also: π at Diddy Kong. It keeps getting better.
