Motoi Sakuraba is mostly noted for Mario Golf and Tennis Games. Also, he helped arranged (Or composed) the SSBM Menu Remix which is lovely BTW.

I don’t know if this is correct but several of those composers were asked to listen to many musical pieces from many different nintendo games, and they were asked to arrange their favourite pieces. In other words, they were asked to re-compose the pieces.
So, in the case of "Menu 1", the music was composed by Hirokazu Ando, the one who did the music for the Melee menus and stuff like that.
But here’s the cool thing, the person who listened to it and wanted to rearange it was Motoi Sakuraba, the guy who composed the music for the "Golden Sun" series!
Basically what you’re going to have for this game is music modified by famous composers.
Shimomura could grab a piece of "Donkey Kong" or "Mother" and rearange it.
Since they were asked to do this to their fav. pieces, you’re gonna have a lot of musics.

As Sakurai said:"We’ve asked our group of arrangement supervisors to listen to an elite selection of Nintendo music and asked them to arrange several of their favorite songs…which means there will be quite a number of songs."

That is exactly the problem that I have. Whenever I try to edit a thread’s title it only appears as a header at the top of the thread but it doesn’t change the thread title. I need to be able to do this so that when I make updates to a thread everyone will be able to see it without first having to click on the thread.

Do mods ever respond to these types of threads (other then Sarah)? I would relly appreciate the help and sorry if I took this a little off topic.

That file is in the .mp3 format, it’s just compressed in a .rar, which is similar to .zip

I believe IGN needs to update their release information for Super Smash Bros. Brawl because it hits the US December 3rd, 2007. It isn’t too often that the US gets a game after Europe. I think Brawl will have a 2008 release in Europe.

I think you might have to have a special sound card. I’m not too sure about that. I’m no expert. Maybe you just need a certain program.

I have a nice sound card that let’s me record any sound coming out of my speakers. But, I don’t use the sound card, I record the sound through an audio program (which might use my sound card).

I love what they’re doing with this game just dropping little crumbs off their table for us to hungrily snatch at. It’s really building up momentum and reinforcing interest in the project. That coupled with the sheer wealth of talent working on the music alone make this a must have purchase . . .

I like the remix they did, it’s funny because "jazzing it up" usually implies added complexion of chord structure, but in this case, they took some of that away. Almost made it more "kid friendly" xD.

You’re forgetting the part on the site:

For songs you’re particularly fond of, you can increase the likelihood those songs will appear. Then, when you brawl on that stage, the chance of your preferred songs being played increases.
Of course, if you want to, you can limit a stage to only one song, or make every song in the game equally likely to appear.

It’s a song you can find on SmashBros Dojo’s Japanese website, on the Kirby Final Smash page : I think it’s the music which is played during his (strange) Final Smash.

I have a stigma about not downloading official soundtracks unless someone has done an excellent Sound Track rip from a game, and all the Melee soundrips are good, but far from insanely excellent (I’m talking about audiophilic 9000000kbps FLAC type stuff I usually avoid), so I’m stuck with the Melee orchestral, which is great, but not amazing.

Brawl NEEDS an OST release, you can tell already. It’ll take 5 discs and royalties will be split all over (maybe? Smash Bros. original OST seemed to go fine) but I’d even pay for it. (How parasitic of me.)

Yes, but you’re not even counting menus, Subspace, fanfares, cutscenes, etc.

I think it will be well over 200, maybe 300. But then again, I don’t think all of the stage tracks will necessarily be remixed. That’d just seem like a ridiculous amount of work.

The DK has always been there. Th Zelda music wasn’t a seperate update. It’s still in with the past stages as it was before.

Your 320 kbps ‘rips’ you posted are bloated recompressed stream recordings of the source files used by the Dojo’s Flash music player. To get the actual source 64 kbps mp3s, Google SWFDecompiler. To download each swf, look at the page source and look for the link with the .swf Then use the Flash decompiler to extract the sound01.mp3.
