Simon B.: After a bit of searching, I was unable to find out how to directly rip from the ROM images. However, the files provided on Human68k Xperiments (*.mdx format) can be played on the program foobar2000 and converted to more familiar sound formats (mp3, wav, etc), though I think it takes a plugin (found here (http://www.vesta.dti.ne.jp/~tsato/soft_fb2kv9.html)).

thank you, i’ll try this tip soon 🙂

It’s famous for almost perfect arcade ports of games like Bubble bobble and Space harrier etc.

i tried & i was unable to extract any MDX from the XDF any roms, not enough experienced but i found some MDX music file from a few games 🙂 & the plugin works fine!

i’m always looking for "Dive On", i didn’t find it

& yeah, much system use & be converted in the X68000 format (i saw some Megadrive, arcade, & even Playstaion arrange…) but so rare & so hard to extract are this files 🙁

is there exist any database of it? like Zophar’s Domain do?

edit – Nevermind, I see you’ve got a number of X68000 games on your front page now. How did you do it?

Foobar2000 + plugin MDX
then i play MDX files in the player (you can find MDX files easily on the net)

The tools available as well as the MDX files are now pretty much non-existant.

MDX are mostly fan made arrangements, aren’t they? they best way to play Sharp X68K music is to use hoot. then you can WAV write it and then easily convert it to mp3 or flac or whatever

Seems tedious, but it would work never the less. Thank you.
