Glutturns in the soul shrine of FFVI advance

quick question. has anybody here ever defeated a glutturn (the ones that ask for hi ethers)? a guy on another site says they cast ultima twice. he says one cannot survive the attack.

my argument is that you could survive if you cast reraise on everybody and have mog jump, locke attack (genji glove: valiant knife/ultima weapon combination with high hp). you would survive the first ultima, the the second one would kill you. reraise would be cast, mog falls, kills the glutturns. the party is safe…

or just have locke finish the glutturns off or reraise somebody and have them heal > quick >reraise…either way the glutturns die.
