I’m in the Deling prison, Squall has been saved and I’m in the arm control thing. I have to "push the red button on the main control pannel", but when I go up to it and press "X" (I’m using the PC version), nothing happens!
I’ve tried it about three times, I’ve gone out of the game and then back in, but it doesn’t want to work. It’s so annoying!
I’ve noticed that there are scratches on the disk, but I’m not sure if that is the reason why it’s not working. I only got the game four days ago! Wouldn’t scratches cause the game to crash, anyway?

Oh, also, can you talk to Quistis or Selphie in that little room? Cause if you can, then I haven’t been able to do that either. I can move Squall around and I can get to the Menu by pressing "D", but I can’t do anything else. I can’t get any futher and if the scratches are causing this I won’t be happy!
Just run around and keep spamming X or something
That is not from the scratched CD, becouse that would make the game crash, or disable your movement becouse it’s waiting for a FMV
Try to look it up in a Walkthrough, becouse maybe you are not doing the right thing.
I this the part where you are in the lift, or when you have to bring the others up with it?
