Frostwire I found to be more stable but have you considered switching to torrents?

To be honest, I don’t really know what Torrents are. I’m new to computers. I’ll try Frostwire, thanks.

Anyone know a good music downloader for… foreign music? I seem to really like Dance Metal, and these German bands are extremley hard to locate. Yes, I spelled a lot of things wrong.

Torrents, are the way to go. search torents on wikipedia you’ll get the concept and got to bitcomet.com to get a torrent d/ler and isohunt.com to search for the name of the file you want.

tip
just GOOGLE it
there are loads and loads of people uploading and sharing things thru the big uploadsites(rapidshare, megaupload etc)
so what you do is go the google bar
type name of the album or artist yr searching stuff from
add the word "megaupload" or "rapidshare" whoever yl think will be more succesfull
and there’s almost a 70% chance yl find what yr looking for

Nice advice Django, I found the MindFreak soundtrack I’d been looking for.

Here’s a good site I found
http://www.dogpile.com

Its like Google, but with an audio search. It’ll give results of tracks (make sure it says mp3 under title), and you can download the file by right-clicking and hitting "Save Target as" on IE. Its works fine for me, but its hard to find foreign music on it sometimes

EDIT: and when you say foreign German bands, I assume you mean Ramstein?

Sign up to www.albumbase.com for one single place to find links to entire albums and also use www.shareminer.com so you can search Google for specific upload sites.

BT is pretty much my primary method of obtaining music nowadays, however, I do agree with the recommendation of Soulseek. You’d be amazed at some of the incredibly rare stuff floating around there.

Also, try out G2P (http://www.g2p.org). I came across some very nice finds from using it, however, it’s not the most reliable source for getting music.

From personal experience, I reccomend you go to Livejournal. xD I have found tons of different songs on there from the communities…never did anything else on that site. :p

LJ can be a good place to get certain songs and albums. However, I was reading one user’s journal about how LJ is beginning to crack down on journals that share music. Because of this, other users are making their journals "friends only" to keep away unwanted attention. Not sure if that’s going to help much.

I used to use torrents all the time i downloaded stuff like movies and photoshop n stuff UNTILL i downloaded one little program that gave me a virus which stopped by comp from installing any programs, this includes flash, java, media player etc. etc. so i had to reboot my comp.
Just be carefull with what your downloading as all the downloads are user made.
