Ok, I’m already knee deep into the wonderful Full Metal Alchemist, I’ve taken a sniff of Berserk and I’ve started getting into Elfen Lied.

I know i’ve done this before but feel free to post suggestions about what i should watch next. 🙂

Anything really, i’ll try it all.

Thanks, you’re all super :-*

Full Metal Panic FUMOFU(this is fucking lol)
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex(and the movies as well)
Last Exile
Initial D
Cowboy Bebop

those 6 should keep you entertained for quite some time. drop me a pm if you want details on any of em Denny =)

also, i suggest you ask Prak, Ktulu, Gina and Ndi for some other shows. im still pretty much an anime noob, so they could point you in a better direction then i.

Denny, I’m now going to give you the best advice you could possibly get on this matter. Pay close attention now.

IGNORE US.

Don’t take our advice. Figure out what you like and look for new things on your own. Expand your horizons in your own way. Don’t fall into a cookie cutter template by watching exactly what everyone else is watching. I’ve always gone out and made my own decisions, and that’s why I’ve been able to choose so well and see things a lot of others haven’t. I’ve hardly ever bought or rented an anime DVD I didn’t enjoy.

I recommend that everyone with an interest in anime do the same. You’ll be much happier with your viewing choices if you look around on your own. Of course, if you want to watch a very specific type of show, then putting out the call for a few names is a good idea. Likewise, if a show catches your attention, but you’re not sure whether you want to invest time/money in it, don’t hesitate to ask about it. But be sure you decide for yourself.

Good advice. I liked the original "Fist of the North Star" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fist_of_the_North_Star) movie my self. There was a slew of other releases afterwards, including a live action flick but never mind that..

Also:

This is one worth checking out, in 3D.

However, you like cute girly anime like Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, so it’s generally a good idea to ignore you. Lawl.

Also, Fullmetal Alchemist is all kinds of win. Roy Mustang<3<3<3 ^__________^!!!

while i agree with this to an extent, there’s no harm in being pointed in the right direction.

just because someone has told you to watch xyz, doesnt mean you have to like it.

My point is that he should be thinking, "This looks interesting" instead of "Prak/Diablo/Mailbox said this was good."

He’s likely to be much happier with what he sees if he does that.

i agree. except i use the hype warning method when recommending anything.

i’ll give a recommendation. say how much i loved it. and then tell them to ignore my hype and watch it as if they dont’ know what to expect.

praks idea seems better though.

It is impossible to hype this up too much:

Hellsing Ultimate, Mother Fuckers! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RF-5VWT62HY)

Seriously.

It’s a remake/reimagining of an older TV series, except this series is closer to the manga, and believe me when I tell you that it will be the most entertaining anime you will watch.

you could always try Mai-HiME/Mai Otome which are pretty good and Mahou Sensei Negima is always good for a laugh

Excel Saga, funny as hell. I even cried of how hard I laughed. The same with The Melancholy of Haruhy Suzumiya. Guvyer’s quite cool too.

While i do welcome some tips or suggestions I’m being to agree with Prak. However, discovering animes on my own is pretty difficult. Not only am i very new to it but there is just tons of anime out there and going by trial and error through them would be quite a daunting experience.

I guess for now i’ll take Praks route as it hasn’t failed me yet.
