Chaos Field is a Dreamcast shmup (shoot ’em up) that came out in 2004. It’s pretty unique in that there are no actual levels you have to shoot thru in order to reach the bosses. Instead, you’re fighting only bosses through out the whole game. Some like it (like me), and some hate it. But I’m sure everyone would agree that the soundtrack is freakin awesome.

Oh, and the game doesn’t seem to have an actual storyline.

Released for the Gamecube?! I’ll need to check on that. And yes, I do have a dreamcast. Good as new.

You can get it off eBay for as little as $25; I just checked. I stumbled upon my copy at an EBgames. I had no idea it existed until then.

It has an added "Expanded" mode where there are waves of small and medium enemies between bosses.

It’s a good game, very different from most shooters.

I completely forgot about the GameCube release. I hear it’s exactly the same as the Dreamcast port too. Although, I don’t think it has any extras worth mentioning. At least, not that I know of.
