What consoles and/or games will you buy this spring?

Rogue Galaxy – 2007 Playstation 2 traditional rpg
Xbox 360 Premium
Blue Dragon – 2007 Xbox 360 traditional rpg

What is your current plan? 🙂

I would get PS3 but it’s been pushed back again.

I’ve placed reservations for Medal of Honor: Vanguard (In case it actually proves to be worthwhile), and Mario Party 8 for the Wii. Aside from that, I’m trying to purchase the Bomberman games for the DS which were already released.

Super Mario Galaxy is going to be huge this fall!

Xbox 360 I think will dominate Playstation 3 and Wii as far as rpg’s go. 🙂

Rogue Galaxy and Ar Tonelico for me.

I have mixed feelings right now. I’m so stuck into Final Fantasy XII that I can’t do anything else! Both new PS 2 rpg’s in 2007 so far(Rogue Galaxy and Ar Tonelico) I haven’t played yet. Final Fantasy XII is a new and "main" Final Fantasy game, which means I must complete it 100%. This is not what I would do if I played FF VII: DoG or FF X-2.

Anyways, maybe I’ll rent Ar Tonelico for fun, when will you get it? I’ll buy Alundra 1 and Rogue Galaxy on a Friday either 15 days from now or 29 days from now, and play them both at the same time. 🙂

If the PS3 or 360 drops in price before MLB 2K6 comes out I may get one of the consoles to play the game with better grahics than I would with the X-Box. Then again, if the PS3 drops, which I don’t expect, I’ll probably just get the show instead.

My friend and I are having fun with Smooth Moves on the Wii, but it is getting old.
I am sad that Brawl got pushed back. That is a bummer.
There is really nothing out that I want to really devote time into so I am just going to get $20, buy Pokemon FireRed on GBA, and call it a day.

I got Rogue Galaxy yesterday! It is great!

I will be playing Final Fantasy XII and Rogue Galaxy right now. When I am done with Final Fantasy XII I will be able to get another game. I want to get Alundra 1 and Blue Dragon next! After that I am less sure. By the way, I have lost some interest in getting Final Fantasy X-2 based on it’s reputation. I’m more likely to beat Xenogears or Chrono Cross. I haven’t beaten all these games yet> :)!

Nintendo DS – so I can play MarioKart and the new Super Mario Brothers game. I want to see Mario in 3D! 🙂

Well… I guess there is a couple games and I also want to get an NTSC ps2, because I got Pal and well…We get cheated on ALOT of games here in Euro, but of games it will be, Shadow Hearts 1 and 3, Vandal Hearts 2, Radita Stories (Think that’s the way it’s spelled?) Maybe Rogue Galaxy, Final Fantasy XII and some others ^__^

I hope Lost Odyssey comes out this fall for Xbox 360, the trailer/demo(vid on youtube.com) is amazing! Sadly, I think it’ll be out on Spring 2008, and I’ll get on the day it comes out. I’m wondering when Infinite Undiscovery(made by Tri-Ace of Star Ocean/Valkyrie Profile/Radiata Stories) comes out? 🙂

Well depending on when the second version of the Xbox 360 gets released, I’ll get that shortly after it comes out. No point to get one now when I can wait a couple more months for a better one that actually has features I may need and use.

As far as definite games, I’m going to pick up Mario Party 8, Super Paper Mario, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (I’ll probably end up buying both because I’m a sucker for that). I might be getting rid of my white DS Lite for the black one. And I’m sure I’ll be downloading plenty more Virtual Console games from here until the end of April.

Hmmmm thats a tough one. I might try to pick up some old games I never owned before. Example: Vagrant Story. I might check out Guitar Hero 2 for the 360 and I want to pick up Blue Dragon. I will get pokemon Diamond and Pearl.

there is no point in paying for a ntsc ps2 when you can buy a swapmagic or something, i use that to play the ntsc ff-12 on my pal ps2

That’s great! We have nearly the exact taste in video games. I’m currently playing FF XII and Rogue Galaxy. FF VI is my favorite video game but I don’t own a GBA for it. WoW I haven’t played but I enjoyed FF XI. I don’t have internet and enough time for it otherwise I would play that or FF XI.

I haven’t brought any games since I left my job to start college. Maybe during the Summer I can buy and start FFXII.

In FF12 I find it hard to get into the game now. I was really addicted at 1st but now I put in on an shut it off lol. Im about level 25 and I just beat Belias (the first esper)

In Rogue Galaxy Im in the Burkaqua village leveling, getting bugs and killing off every enemy to get hunter points. I believe I’m level 23. Hopefully Ill play some more tommorow.

Between all those game, wow is taking up most of the time. Im trying to get to lvl 70 so I can focus on other games I have. Plus my wife just bought me Crackdown.

Im really looking foward to Blue Dragon. Looks really good. I need a rpg for the 360.

FF XII, what specifically detracts you from the game? For me I am less interested in the story and characters as I wanted to be. I also miss Nobuo Uematsu and believe that Hitoshi Sakimoto’s earlier music is better for me. In Rogue Galaxy it is pretty cool. I like the normal battle music a lot and it gets pretty intense when Lilika, a new character you will get, uses her ability where she has a fire burning all around her and has a huge horn that she blows and everybody’s attack power increases. That ability is great, it’s one of the first two she gets, also her ability where she shoots a flaming arrow that she lit with her mind is pretty insane. The other one of the best abilities is when Simon(the character with some type of Irish accent, one of the first 3 characters) uses his Burning Strike Level 1. At the end of it he is like: "Come On, Come On!" while the opponents are getting killed off. I think that part is pretty cool and exciting!

How do you compare and contrast World of Warcraft with Final Fantasy XI? Will you get Mass Effect? 🙂

I dont know what it is about FF12. Im in the Giza plains right now and Im not liking the environment too much. Boss battles are too easy for my taste. So Far I havent had a problem with the bosses in Rogue galaxy but Im not killing them In one hit either. Yeah the fighting becomes straight button mashing but for some reason, its really addictive.

World of warcraft is fun accesible and addictive. I can ploay the game for an hour and get alot done or sit and play for hours and enjoy myself. FF11 is good but really tedious. Its a game directed towards the hardcore gamer.

I’m not getting a console, but I’m getting 2 512mb RAM sticks, a new nVidia graphics card, and a 80 GB external HD, and game I’m getting is Guild wars nightfall.

Rogue Galaxy, basically I start the battle with shooting enemies until my bullets run out, then I hit them with my sword for a while while occasionally healing and using an ability. I am not interested in the battle system, it seems to be the games weak point. I remember when I used to drop an hour or two all of a sudden on Starcraft. I think that instead of that I should have used that time to play all the top rpg’s that were out at that time. This was a couple years ago. I could have beaten stuff like Xenogears, Chrono Cross, and Vagrant Story during this time! 🙂
