This is going to be a huge rumble with every famous video game playable character around. You all know how rumbles work so let’s get cracking.

There will be 128 participants from all consoles and genres.

Why wouldn’t Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros count anyways? =\

Becuase then you could have every character, the rumble would be dominated by Mario and his chums. Bowsers in the rumble.

The list still needs a considerable amount of work. Reducing it to 64 characters is not a good idea. Also, certain games are massively over-represented.

Cases in point:

We certainly don’t need more Sonic characters than just Sonic himself.
Final Fantasy characters currently account for a little over 10% of the list.
Too many Silent Hill, Vagrant Story, and Dynasty Warriors characters.

Also, limiting it to playable characters is a questionable choice that you really need to consider thoroughly before making a decision about.

Good call. In light of the changes in the rules, I’d like to propose a couple removals.

I’d actually say the Final Fantasy nominations should use one character from each major era: classics, PSX, and PS2.

I don’t care much about Freeman being on there or not. I just don’t think he fits very well. It isn’t up to me though.

KOS-MOS (Xenosaga series) is the only one that I can think of right now who isn’t on the list and should be.

I think Master Chief is a pretty good choice to put on there.

Also, Cloud was up there, but he was edited off I guess. I like it better without Cloud.

Crash Badicoot, Coco Badicoot and Doctor Cortex (Crash Badicoot games), Jak (Jak series), Dexter (Jak Series), Ico (Ico), Spyro, Hunter (Spyro the Dragon series), Kazuya and Nina (Tekken Series), Klonoa (Klonoa series), Picachu (cuz he is the most famous pokemon, so it can represent all pokemon games), Wonderboy (Wonderboy series), Pacman (Pacman series), Master Chief (Halo series), Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden), Sam Fisher (Splinter Cell series) and Croc (Croc 1&2).

Also, you could add Ashley from RE4 as there are not much female characters in the list.

Duke’s definitly going up there :D. Sora’s already up there. I’ll remove your proposed characters Prak if we can think of more than 128. For now I’ll keep them there for numerical purposes.

It’s no bother at all. By the way, you should try to come up with the system you’ll use right now. This will be a lot more daunting than anything you’ve tried, so planning is key.

Princess Zelda? when was she ever a playable character? Tingle, who I absolutely hate, is more of a playable character then her.

Oh, and I really liked Prak’s idea about the 3 generations of FF. With the Nintendo era I would have liked to see Tina (FF6 Jap.)/Terra (FF3 U.S.). She morphs into a crazy-ass Esper!
