Ugh, so I had managed to get almost all espers and a very nice party If I do say so myself.
Terra 44
Edgar 43
Setzer 45
Shadow 44

Now, Im ready to challenge Kefka!
I enter the tower….turns out you need to use ALL PLAYERS IN THE FREAKING DUNEGON!
I havent trained anyone else!
They are all at around lv 30 with very little magic!
I give up, this is so aggrivating!
Thoughts? Ideas? Help?!?!

One piece of advice: It’s FAR BETTER to use the other characters, even without them being strong. Trust me. The most dangerous thing in that level is insta-kills. Nothing else hurts nearly as much (except a certain combo of two ninjas and one spellcaster, I don’t know what their names are).

If you really feel like you need some training, do it at the desert near Maranda if you need gil for equipment for your party (though unequip and reequip the stuff you use for all three parties, as that way you get better characters). Also, you can get lots of Magic Experience there, so it works out well. If not, do it at a forest that is northeast on the map, northeast of Doma. There, you can find big dinosaur monsters which are really strong but give lots of XP.

Just beware of those insta-kill attacks!

And by the way, you can fight Kefka with your main party, so don’t worry about that. 😉

Actually, take advantage of the dinosaur place. It provides awesome items, especially if you have Locke. The T-Rex gives Imp equipment (with a full set, you have an invincible-to-physical-attacks imp) and the Brachio gives you ECONOMIZER (god-item for spellcasters, lowers MP cost of all spells to 1) for drops and Ribbon for steals (ribbons prevent almost all status effects). 😉

By the way, you should probably have two sets of Imp equipment, and two sets of dragoon accessories (Dragoon Boots and Dragon Horn) to make powerful dragoons. I’ll show you how you can get them… (I’ll have to look in a guide for the equipment because I forgot where I got them).

Yeah, have them train a bit at the desert. And the only ones they would have trouble with are the brachios. Those things are true monsters. Just reset if you see one, at first.

Imp Halberd-Dropped by T-Rexes.

Imp’s Armor-Steal from T-Rex, or win from Sprinter, who I think is at Doma or something. I think there’s someone else with it, though….

Tortoise Shield-Kill/steal from Geckorex, who’s in the plains around the Nashe mountains. Or just bet Imp’s Armor for it.

Titanium-Bet T.Shield at colloseum for this.

So you wear all this, and you become all-powerful as an imp.

By the way, if you just want to be a dragoon, you should already have two dragoon boots. You should also have one Dragon Horn from the Phoenix Cave. Get the other by betting a Gold Hairpin at the Colosseum.

If you need help beating the Colosseum, there’s a way to use Setzer so that you’ll eventually win no matter what. Just ask me.
