And just to prove i’m not a complete jerk, tell me a genre and I will tell you three excellent PC games in that genre.
and if you can with no lag give me your computer
OH AND YOUR COMPUTER CAN’T HANDLE VISTA
OH AND YOUR COMPUTER CAN’T HANDLE VISTA
Lol you think, also if I wait 4 ram to drop, I’ll miss out on quality gaming.
@ Mossy I’m checking out the game right now.
Running it on full would make my pc give up and die on me.
I’m not even outside yet 🙁
Uhh…the fact that you have 248 Mb of system memory worries me since they don’t make them in that capacity. The only way to get that number is to have an integrated graphics card that uses 8 Mb of your system memory.
In all honesty, the only computer parts that are insanely expensive are the graphics cards. And it’s pretty easy these days to get cards that are last-gen but still kick the crap out of the new-gen budget cards. The ATI X1900GT is good value for the price.
That isn’t a genre, it is two completely unrelated games.
I’ll just go ahead and suggest some classic PC games: WarCraft III is still one of the best real-time strategy games around, and if you enjoy the Jedi Knight games, I highly suggest Half-Life (1, not 2, given your system specs) as an enjoyable thinking-mans shooter.
As for physics, they’re the most realistic that I’ve seen, despite being an outdated game. There’s L.O.S. (Line of Sight), which affects how accurate your troops will fire on a target, and the likelihood of neutralizing said target.
There’s boundless attributes to the cover protection you will place your soldiers into. A stone, multi-story building will drastically reduce the probability of your soldiers being killed whereas, leaving them laying exposed on the stretch of a dirt road in the open, is sure suicide.
There’s a Morale System that will dictate how effectively your troops will react when bandying hails of bullets and screeching explosions between the enemy during frequent firefights. A soldier might start panicking, and become cravened, running away from the fight. Or, perhaps he’ll rally his fellow soldiers around him with a heroic demonstration of gallantry.
There’s many more aspects which I could cover, but I’ll let you decide if you wish to know more.
